I woke up early this morning to get some work done so I jumped out of bed , had a shower then got some breakfast. After all that I started with my work as usual and then I got a phone call . I picked up the phone without looking at the number or anything and answered it 
"Hi is this Stacey Dooley ? "
"Yes that's me "
" Hiya, this is the bbc and we would like to ask if you would be interested in taking part in strictly come dancing this year ?"
I took the phone away from my ear for a second to process what was actually happening. They wanted ME to go on strictly . This is like a once in a life time opportunity. But then it just brings back bad memories and I don't know if can handle that however I really wanted to do it.
"I would love too ! Yes !"
They talked me through what was going to be happening and they told me they would get in touch with me closer to the time . After the phone call I immediately texted Harriet
Stace : girrrrlllllllll
Harriet : whattttttttt
Stace: guess
Harriet : you've got a new bf ?
Stace : don't mention that
Harriet : sorry sorry , what is it then ?
Stace : im going on strictly!
Harriet: OMGGG AHHH
Stace : ikr ! Im so excited!
Harriet : I bet ! How are you going to feel tho
Stace : im Just gonna have to try and stay calm I guess . Isn't much I can do
Harriet : aw , dw it will be fine . You will have the most amazing time on the show trust me x

I haven't watched the show in years , since before I went on that holiday in fact. I haven't kept updated on anything to do with the show so I don't know which pros or anything where on it and I wasn't intending to find out until we had our first day of training because I wanted it to all be a surprise. One reason why I did say yes to strictly was because it was going to give me a break from the stuff I do everyday . A lot of the stuff I do and places I go are quite harrowing so it will be like a total escapism for me . It's going to be strange though . That's for sure
