Little chat

Everyone was leaving and Kev had asked me if I wanted to go back to his but I had to say no because I had some work to do unfortunately. Whilst I was on my way out I saw Ashley so took this as my opportunity to talk to her about what I was going to tell her earlier before I forget or before she starts going on about it asking me.
"Oh hey Stace wanna go grab a drink at the cafe round the corner with me ? "
"Yeah Ofc that's perfect because I was just about to explain to you what I was going to talk to you about earlier"
I smiled and we both ordered a drink , got it and sat down
" I'm actually so happy for you girl , you got Kevin ! "
"Ik ! Honestly couldn't be happier right now and you got pash ! Pash is such a gent you will be fine ash "
"Aw he really is as well . So you were gonna tell me about Kev was it ?"
" um , yeah . So well ..... I do know him and have done for quite a few years now . In fact we did go out .... "
"OMG WHAT ! " Ashley literally just shouted like a little kid excited
"Ash Ashley ! Calm down !"
"Sorry Sorry , carry on hun"
I took a deep breath
"We both met in New York , at the time I was on holiday on my own because I was ment to go with my stupid ex but obvs I wasn't letting that happen and Kev was there touring with burn the floor .i had gotten a taxi from the airport to my hotel and when my taxi dropped me off I had left my bag in the taxi as it drove off and had dropped and smashed my phone on the way out . Kev came along , saw that I need help and helped me "

"That's only the first part . Things went on from there . He invited me to watch his show , went on a date and so on . We both had to leave and we tried to get the same flight back but it didn't happen . I don't know if I'm glad about that or I wished I was on the same flight "
"Wait .. why would you be glad about it ?"
"Well Umm ... let's just say that his plane didn't make it to its destination...."
"Omg ....."
"I thought he was gone ash . This whole time . It's been like what , 2 or 3 years since then "
"Didn't you get in contact with each other during that time ?! "
I shook my head "I tried to but he had obviously lost his phone during the incident. He had apparently tried to get in contact with me but for what ever reason it just never happen and that's why when I saw him on the first day of training I was basically crying because I was so glad that he was there and not gone "

"Look tho ash , you have to Promis me that you don't tell anyone about this . Not a single soul . If we do get back together again "officially " and the producers find out then I can get kicked out of the competition because it's against the rules to be dating your dance partner during when the show is on hence why a lot of the people who do end up in relationships wait until after the show to announce it and officially get together . So pleaseeeee don't tell anyone "
"I won't Stace don't worry about it , I wouldn't want you getting kicked out of the show for it . I'm so happy for you yet sad"
I laughed "ahah it's fine "

Little did I know that someone else was in that cafe listening to our whole conversation that entire time until the next morning when I walked into the studios....
