Keefe POV

A/N not really point of view just Keefe's side of the story.

"RO!" Keefe shouted, "Where did you put my hair product?"

"Not telling you!" she shouted back  from across the hall.

"But Ro, the ball started 20 minutes ago and I actually want to make it there before it's over!"

"Funkyhair, you've been styling your hair for hours, and I only took 1 product. You'll be fine!"

"But I need dewy locks! If you don't give it back I will officially start a prank war!"

"Which we all know I would win right?"

"Ro!" Keefe screamed tackling her.

Ro tried to get back up but then Keefe started tickling her.

"S-stop!" She said between breaths.

Keefe used this moment to quickly grab dewy locks from behind her back and run back to his room.

Keefe then started carefully styling his hair upwards. When he was happy with it, he ran his hands through his hair disheveling it.

"Trying to look good for a certain someone, huh Hunkyhair." Ro said, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

Keefe shrugged. "Nah, a guys just gotta look good." he tried to say cooly. It would have been convincing if the pink blossoming up his cheeks hadn't given him away.

"I knew it! And don't think I didn't notice how excited you were when you learned that Sophie was coming to the ball." Ro said.

Keefe didn't deny it.

Ro kept wiggling her eyebrows. Keefe was about to tackle her when he got a hail from Fitz.

Keefe glared at Ro and picked it up.

"Um, Keefe, it's been an hour and you are still not here. Are you actually coming?"

"Yeah, right after I finish styling my hair." Keefe replied.

Fitz rolled his eyes. "Okay then. "

Keefe hung up.

Keefe put on his mask and suit and leaped to Everglen.

===========At the Masquerade Ball==========

As soon as Keefe arrived at Everglen he saw a beautiful girl in an ice blue dress politely chatting with someone.

'Wow' Keefe thought.

He jerked back to reality when someone tapped him on the shoulder.

"Decided to show up, huh." Fitz asked.

Keefe shrugged.

"I wonder where Sophie is." Fitz asked quietly.

Keefe rolled his eyes. Fitz was madly in love with Sophie. But Keefe could feel her emotions, and he knew Sophie didn't feel the same way. And, Fitz barely even knew the real Sophie. But if Sophie was happy with Fitz, Keefe would have to accept that.

"There she is!" Fitz pointed to a girl wearing a pink dress in the corner of the room, flirting with all the men in the corner.

Keefe almost snorted. He knew for a fact that that was not Sophie. In fact, from all the days of pranking her like she deserved, Keefe knew that face anywhere. Sure, she had dyed her hair blonde and straightened it so it wasn't frizzy anymore, but that was Stina. And, Sophie would never wear pink or flirt with a ton of guys.

"I'm going to go ask her to dance." Fitz added, and Keefe made no move to stop him. He smirked at the idea of Fitz and Stina together.

Keefe started walking towards the food table to get a bite to eat when he noticed the same gorgeous girl from earlier wolfing down the food. Lot's of guys were not so subtly trying to flirt with her, which she was completely oblivious to as she ate the amazing food.

The girl had had beautiful blonde hair the exact shade of Sophie's curled and tied half up half down. Her makeup was simple yet stunning and and very attention grabbing.

Sophie?

She wore a ice blue dress-

Wait, ice blue?

Definitely not Sophie. She would never wear a dress the color of Keefe's eyes. She probably thought he was just some broken, stupid boy.

Just to make sure it wasn't Sophie he looked at the color of her eyes. They were-

Keefe squinted harder but still couldn't tell the color of her eyes.

Must be some sort of an illusion.

Then the beautiful girl caught Keefe staring at her. Keefe blushed and and played it of like he had only just noticed her. She didn't seem to buy it.

"I can see you like the food." Keefe said, smirking.

Then she blushed the color of a firetruck and reached to tug and eyelash out like she was nervous. But she stopped suddenly when she realized she would mess up her makeup. Instead she hid behind her hair.

Definitely Sophie, Keefe thought.

"It is amazing." Keefe added, trying to make her feel less uncomfortable.

Sophie nodded.

"What's been your favorite thing tonight?" Keefe asked.

"Oh, definitely the food." Sophie answered.

Keefe chuckled.

Sophie smiled a beautiful, dazzling smile back.

"Well, care to dance?"
