Nightmare was at the beach with Dream. They were watching a huge ship sailing closer and closer.
"I'm so nervous..." Dream whispered. "Haven't you spoke to him through the necklace you gave him?" Nightmare asked. "Well, of course, I have...! I-It's just different from being face to face... A-And what am I going to tell him? That I was about to marry Cross? All the stuff I did...He doesn't know..." Dream said softly. Nightmare smiled. "It all won't matter. The past is history. It's good to learn it so we won't repeat it, but there's nothing we can do to change it. But we can change what we do now, so... He shouldn't be upset about something like that," Nightmare said with a reassuring smile. Dream smiled back, giggling.
"Hey, Captain."
Nightmare and Dream turned around to see Ink and Error.
They were both wearing their normal outfits.
"Yeah?" Nightmare answered. "Cross said he was running late. So he sent me to make sure everything goes as according to plan," Ink said. "Oh," Nightmare said softly, looking away.
Error walked up to Nightmare.
"Hey," Error said, then Nightmare looked at him. Error pressed his nose on Nightmare's. "Happy Birthday..."
Nightmare pressed back but yelped when he was pulled away. Dream pulled him away.
"He's my brother!" Dream growled as Error hissed at him. "He's my best friend!" Error growled. Dream was about to respond, but he heard yelling.
"LANDING!!!!"
They all looked and saw the ship against the sand. Someone jumped off of the boat and landed on the sand.
They walked up to Ink, Error, Dream, and Nightmare.
That person got on one knee, bowing their head.
"My princes," they said. "General Gaster!" Dream said with a smile. "Lift your head," Nightmare said, then they stood up.
The general was pretty tall. He was slim, yet fit and strong looking.

"Ice! Where is he?" Dream asked excitedly. "He's being let out of the chamber now," General Gaster said. "Ah, Ink. It's been a while. 13 years, was it?" Gaster said, looking at Ink. "Yessir," Ink said as Error looked away. "And Error," General Gaster grumbled. "Don't look at me. I'm not becoming a royal guard. I've gone rogue," Error said proudly as Nightmare smiled. "Have you now... But Ink, you're here. Where's Cross?" Gaster asked. "He said he was off doing something," Nightmare said. "Has he been treating you right, my Prince?" Gaster asked. "Yes," Nightmare said.
Dream stared at the giant ship and a plank was let down, to let people off.
Dream saw three people escorting someone off. Dream's eyes lit up.
