Cross woke up in absolute and utter pain.
He opened his eyes weakly, shaking lifting up his aching body, which was laying on the ground.

Cross tried his hardest not to, but he teared up in unbearable pain.
"Ink...?" Cross called, seeing Ink laying across from him.

They were still in Nightmare's cabin, but it was an absolute mess.
The whole bookshelf was practically empty cause the books came out.

"Cross..." Ink whispered, "I-I... I can't ... move..." Ink whispered, his fingers twitching, but barely.

Cross pushed himself up, closing his eyes, trying to heal himself, but...
He gasped when he noticed something wasn't on his body.

"My necklace...!" Cross growled. "The one... Prince Dream gave you...?" Ink asked in a pained voice. "Yes...!" Cross growled more, getting angry.

"Cross...!"
Cross was about seven. Cross was in the castle. He was in the training fields, practicing his sword fighting with a dummy. Well, until he heard a voice.

Cross stopped his training and turned around to see Dream running towards him. Cross dropped the sword, just as Dream stopped, right in front of Cross.

Dream giggled. "I made you something!" He said. Cross smiled a little. "You didn't have to, my prince," Cross said. "You're my betrothed...! I wanted to give you something, to remind you of me during your battle," Dream said, holding out a golden necklace. The necklace had a heart charm on it.

Cross had respectfully bowed, on one need and looked down.

"Thank you, my dear prince," Cross said as Dream snickered and put it on him.

Cross took a deep breath and looked around.
Everything was out of place... But... Nightmare or Error weren't in there.

Cross weakly crawled to Ink, taking him in his arms.
"It's OK... I have you," Cross whispered, pulling Ink close. "Where's Error and Nightmare...?" Ink asked. "I don't know," Cross said, then both of them heard voices.

"Nightmare... We're only a grasp away from the treasure," Error said. "I know... But what about..." Nightmare trailed off, then Error spoke. "Night! That cave is open! If you and Cross rush in and grab the apples then come out, we'll be fine!" Error said excitedly. "I know, but would if something happens?" Nightmare asked. "Night, it won't... And if it does, I'll be out here...! We're just a few feet away from ultimate happiness...! We'll get literally everything we want...!" Error said. "Yeah, everything," Nightmare said. "If you're worried about Cross, don't be. If he likes Dream, you can't help it... It's sad, yes, but he just can't see anything correctly," Error said. "I mean, I guess... I just thought that if I took him from Dream for a while would work, but it didn't," Nightmare said in a quiet tone.

What... does that mean...?" Cross whispered. "He knows more than we do..." Ink whispered back.

"Night, Cross is just a whore. He doesn't deserve you!" Error said. "What about Ink?" Nightmare asked, then Error sighed. "Same with Ink. I swear, every time we had sex, he'd be enraged, but most times, Ink wanted it. They both came from that dumbass kingdom that means nothing to us...! We can drop them off and live our happy lives... We don't need them," Error said, then Nightmare sighed. "... I'm sorry... for bringing Ink up then," Nightmare said quietly. Error smiled softly. "It's fine, Night," Error said. "It's not..." Nightmare said, then Error took a deep breath.

Ink scoffed, weakly clutching his fists.

Cross let Ink go, crawling back to his spot and laying down as if he never woke up.
