CHAPTER 1

"Angsaya-saya ko talaga ngayon, Ma. Thank you po dito ahh." and I kiss her.

"Be a good girl my princess. Always remember that Mama always loves you."

It's my seventh birthday and it seems that everything looks perfect. The venue, visitors, the caters, balloons, and the environment; simply, everything looks great.

Pero pagkatapos kong sabihin yun kay Mama, bigla na lang syang tumalikod at umalis. Hinabol ko sya pero hinawakan ako ni Papa. Hindi ko maintindihan. Sino yung kasama nya?

Bakit ako pinipigilan ni Papa? What's going on? Mama? Why? What's wrong?

Ang mga tanong na yan ang patuloy na pumapasok sa isip ko. Anong nangyayari?

"Mama, please don't leave me!" I was begging her but she didn't even look back. Why?

I thought everything is perfect; my birthday and also my family.

"Please come back Ma!" Nawala bigla yung magagandang decorations sa party ko. It all went black hanggang sa hindi ko na makita kung ano ang nasa paligid ko. Wala na akong kasama. Mama, nasaan ka?

"MAMA!" panaginip lang pala.

Bakit lagi ko nalang yun napapanaginipan. Nagising akong hinihingal at napansin kong umiyak pala ako. Crazy. I shouldn't be. 3:30 in the morning palang pero nagising na agad ako. Tss. Hindi na din naman ako makakatulog kaya bumangon na ako. What a dream, huh? No. A nightmare.

It'll be a very long day for me.

"Miss, andito na po tayo." Tawag sakin ng driver ko.

Hayy. Hindi ko napansin ang oras. Andito na pala ako sa tapat ng school na papasukan ko.

"Sorry Arthur, just wait for me at the parking lot after my classes." at bumaba na ako ng sasakyan.

I stared at the walls and gates, really sure and secured. I look at the main gate...

"Kim Institute: School of Business and Management."

Another year for me. Another year para sa pagtupad ng mga pangarap ko, or should I say an accomplishment that would make my family proud.

Pagkapasok ko ng school, narinig ko agad ang mga bulungan ng mga estudyante, some just stared and most of them are smiling at me.

Plastic humans.

Seriously.

What's their problem? Don't they know it really annoys me?

It's my second year in this school and hindi pa rin ako sanay sa mga estudyante dito. Alam ko naman kasing ... A-aarayy!!!

"Hi! Ellie! I miss you bessy! HAHAHA!" agang badtrip at pasakit nito ahh? Grace for the win. -.-

Grace. My bestfriend. Alam kong magulo sya, literally but my day is incomplete without this crazy girl. At first, wala naman talaga akong pakialam sa kanya but believe me, she's really extraordinary.

"Ang aga namang badvibes ohh." haha pakipot effect muna.

"Namiss lang naman kita e. Halos kadadating ko pa nga dito sa Philippines. Alam mo bang kahit gusto kong umuwi dito para magbonding tayo, hindi naman ako pinayagan ni Dad. Hindi mo naman pala ako namiss." *pouts*

Grabe, ang ingay talaga ng babaeng to kahit kelan. Sabagay, she spent her whole vacation sa China. And yeah, I also missed her.

Sa nangyayari sa kanya at pati na rin sakin ngayon ko narealize how hard it is to become responsible with our duties. It's not as simple as ABC but the whole life of our future companies is in our hands.

I'm a heiress, should I be proud of this?
