Many men arrived at the castle walls to woo the beautiful red lady, leader of a successful rebellion and liberator of the oppressed. She welcomed them in her castle but remained elusive and mysterious inviting more curious nobles and travelers for even a glimpse. Along with their adoration, they brought forth unspeakable treasures in the hopes of winning her hand and heart. One look and they would freely succumb to the desire of generously giving her whatever she wished even when they would leave empty handed. The mere glimpse of a lady as wondrous as she was enough to quench the lustful thirst of any man.

That same wondrous lady now sat upon her golden chair, deep in thought as she saw through the ball of glass the dungeons below. For days, the general had continually visited the mad princess that she is sustained for the red lady's need of entertainment. And once again today, the princess could not resist the forceful manner in which she received her everyday meal.  The red lady's perfect eyebrows met, the act no long amusing in her eyes. She turned from the scene sighing. For awhile she remained, her eyes wandering to fantasies of leisure, often darkening with a subtle smile. She laughed freely at her imaginations when there came a knock. She opened her door and was met with the sheepish smile of a handsome man. He greeted her, cheeks red and for a brief moment, the red lady rolled her eyes which was soon replaced with a dazzling smile that would wash any doubts to her pure soul. The handsome man invited her to a garden walk. With clenched teeth, she voiced her consent.

In the garden the handsome man rambled on his admiration for the red lady, citing their marriage as a just compensation of the turmoil that was his life. He kept going on and on of his hardships in the hands of the tyrant king and how his heart turned against the empire once he became able to wield a sword. He rebelled for a great many years but kept failing, unable to wrestle the throne from it's nefarious captor until the benevolent lady showed the way. The listener happily cheered the handsome man and his ramblings but her thoughts were far away as an idea sprang from her mind. Her marriage filled her with  a dreaded despair of utter boredom, perhaps another would serve a diversion. After all, if two incompatible persons were together, forced to tolerate each other, wouldn't it be just as entertaining as a princess trapped in her dungeon?

The red rose lady eyes lit up with excitement which the handsome man mistook as an elated reaction to his flattery. Hurriedly she led him to a garden with a table where they may continue their boring talk commanding a passing servant to call the general. The red lady sat upon her chair, giddy with excitement. Beside her was the handsome man, glad that she was of a cheery countenance. He lost no time expressing his feelings at being able to make a benevolent lady happy with a garden walk. She voiced a sweet agreement, finger tapping the table as she awaited the arrival of the servant whom was instructed to bring the person who can fulfill her dark fantasies.

The garden was filled with bright light where a table for two sat in the middle. The general arrived with great expectation of spending a moment with the apple of his eye but disappointment rang the loudest upon seeing the red lady happily sitting beside the handsome man. The servant was sent away with the wave of a hand. The general, with clenched teeth, greeted the pair. In simple words he asked why they were both together and the red lady replied that a wonderful afternoon should be spent with your betrothed. His heart sinking at the news, the general calmed his expression as the giddy red head continued to look sweetly at another man. In simple words, she gave the order which made his already darkening heart fall deeper into a black hole.
