~Austin’s POV~
“Go get Ashby, we have a set in like 20 minutes.” Phil told me. I sighed and nodded once, walking back on the bus to wake Alan up. Phil could’ve done it, I don’t see why I had to, I mean Justin would’ve pissed his pants at the opportunity to do something with Alan over me. I begrudgingly walked over to his bunk and pulled the curtain, seeing him mumbling in his sleep.
“Austin..” He mumbled in his sleep. His face was a mixture of pleasure and frustration.
“Alan.” I told him. he didn’t respond and continued looking so adorable it made me want to cry.
“Austin..”
“Alan wake up.” I told him. His eyes shot open and they immediately focused on my face. he looked disappointed and he sat up in his bunk slowly. “Good, you’re awake. We have a set to play in like 20 minutes.” I told him simply.
“Au..Austin?” He whispered. He looked up at me and I was struggling to keep the mask of boredom on my face.
“What?”
“Was I sleep talking?” I pursed my lips, might as well tell him, make him wonder how much I knew.”
“Yeah.”
“What did I say?” I looked down at my shoes and then back to him. I wouldn’t tell him, he didn’t even care to know, I was supposed to be caring though, but I couldn’t help but spare his feelings, for now.
“It doesn’t matter right now, get your guitar and get backstage.” I said quickly and walked off to play our show.
**
I saw Alan’s head peak through the door after the show and I knew I needed to talk to him about what he said before he found Justin and I was screwed.
“Hey.. Alan.” I said, and watched his head snap over to look at me.
“Austin?”
“Well.. I wanted to talk to you about what you.. uh.. said in your sleep.” I said. he froze up but let out a rigid nod and gestured to the door. We walked outside and I noticed him shuffling his feet and looking anywhere but at me.
“What about it?” He whispered.
“You were talking about me.”
“Thank you captain obvious.” He mumbled. I let out a groan at his stubbornness
“Alan..”
“Why do you care anyway? You don’t, I heard you loud and clear on that one, so just forget it.” He told me. I leaned closer to him.
“Maybe I don’t care, but you don’t even know what I heard you say last night so why are you getting so worked up about it. I haven’t said a word about it and you just accuse me of not caring?” His eyes widened and his cheeks burned.
“I..I think you know what you heard.”
“Oh really and what did I hear oh ginger goddess?” I countered.
“N-nothing.” He said.
“Exactly. What I heard wasn’t even bad so you can forget this conversation ever happened.”
“Austin!” I heard Justin’s voice from behind me. I leaned away from Alan and turned to him.
“You can have your boyfriend, we didn’t do anything anyway, he’s perfectly fine.” I grumbled and walked off, leaving them alone. Probably to have a nice make out session and shove their relationship in my face. why did their relationship work but ours failed?
**
“You really can’t handle them together can you?” He asked me as I was making some macaroni in the microwave. I looked over at the back lounge at Justin and Alan. They were sitting together and
“Shut up.” I grumbled. He chuckled and went back to watching TV. I sat down next to him and started shoveling the food in my mouth. I was wearing my Star Wars pajama bottoms and realized I might not have looked my best, but what did it matter. I dropped some macaroni on my arm and then proceeded to eat it off my arm.
“Still as classy as ever, Austin.” Tino told me. I smiled at him widely and continued eating.
“Hey, Phil, have you seen the sheets for our next show?” Justin asked him.
“Um.. I think Austin has them.” He answered. Justin looked over at me, he was less annoyed with me because I’d stopped harassing his boyfriend, and he heard me say that I didn’t care anymore.
“Where are they, I need to see what things we’ll need.” But that didn’t mean I still didn’t hate him.
“Somewhere in my stuff, I’ll get them for you later.” I mumbled. He nodded and walked off to the bathroom.
“Well, I’m headed to bed, night Austin.” Tino said and gave me a sympathetic look. I nodded and he walked to his bunk. I finished off my dinner just as Alan came into the room.
“Where are the sheets, I’ll just get them and hand them off to Justin.” He told me. I looked up at him and sighing, I went to get them. I came back to the front lounge with them in my hands and I gave him the lists. “Thanks.” He said simply.
“Alan?” I asked.
“Yeah?” I leaned down and kissed his cheek quickly.
“I’ll always care.” I whispered and walked off to my bunk.
