"What are you boys doing in thr hall, get back in the cafeteria," the teacher said, then we turned around. How could she not even see that I was being held against my will? I didn't even see when Jane and Tyler left, but I saw Sue run out the cafeteria like a track star. Before I knew it, there were two people on either side of me. None other than Bob and Jason with mischievous looks on their faces. I was relieved when a teacher stopped us, then we were headed back to the lunch room.

"The coast is clear," Jason said looking over his shoulder directing his comment to Bob. "Let me go," I struggled to get out of their grasp but it was no use. "Don't make this harder than it has to be," Bob warned while both him and Jason yanked my arm tugging me in the direction of the janitor's closet.

"Hold him," Bob said letting go of me. If you try to run it'll be worse," Bob threatened. I stood there worried, frightened and oblivious to what I was about to endure. I knew I should have left, but when I turned around Jane was no where to be found," I replayed in my head over and over. How could she leave me?" I questioned myself.

Jason pushed me into the closet with Bob and locked the door behind us. In the closet,  it was dark a dark and cramped area. As soon as the door was locked Bob punched me with so much force, I fell to the floor with a thud. Hitting my head against what I assumed is a mop bucket. Then, he begin kicking me in the ribs, before he bent over beating the life out of me once more. I was in excruciating pain and there was no one around to help.

"See what happens when your little friend tries to make a fool out of me, tell her she knows where to find me," He said standing back up. He kicked me one last time and knocked twice on the door for his friend to open it and let him out. I laid there in the dark and began to laugh like a mad man. Maybe I deserve this, its my fault this happened to me. The bell rang, breaking me out of my thoughts. I had to get out of there with Jane catching me," I thought as I planned my escape.

I came out the closet and got mixed in with the rest of the crowd as I ran out of the building like there was no tomorrow. By the time I made it home, I was bent over with my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath. Literally, I felt like the wind had been knocked out of me. After my breathing came back to normal, I walked in the house. To my surprise, my parents weren't home, without them this will make my next move that much easier.

When I made it to my room, I shut the door behind me. I searched my drawers for a pen and paper. I came across a notebook and a pen laying next to my trash can. For a minute, I sat there pondering my thoughts. Then, I started venting out all my feeling, emotions and all the things I had bottled up inside in the past years that had transpired up until this very moment.

Setting the paper neatly on my pillow, then I headed for the garage. When I found what I was looking for, I made my way back to my room. Shut the door behind me and stood on top of my bed. I tied the rope around my neck, then on top of the ceiling fan. As I dangled there, the life was quickly leaving me while my breathing became restricted.

My feet and legs became numb and my vision blurred. I was gone without another thought. That day Cooper's parent's came home, they were in for the shock of their lives. Little did they know, they'd never see their son again.

"Cooper ! Come out here, we have something for you," his mom said in a cheery tone of voice. She thought it was strange when she didn't hear or see him, so she headed for his room. She slowly twisted the knob on his door. Cara's demeanor changed from cheery and ecstatic to that of horror as tears fell nonstop down her face, she dropped down to her knees  crying and shaking.

                                      Bill's POV

Cara husband (Bill) ran to her side and looked at her for an explanation, until he saw his lifeless son hanging from the ceiling. Bill's face turned as red as a tomatoe as he tried hard to blink back the tears. He knew he had to be strong for his wife.

Bill helped Cara up and sat her on the couch as he retrieved the phone to call the police. After explaining everything to the police and they assured him they'd be there as soon as possible he hung up and walked into Cooper's room. Pulling out his phone, he took pictures of every detail the police would probably ask about. Finally, he loosened the rope from around Cooper's neck and gently laid him on the bed. Bill was about to leave, until he spotted a note on the pillow which reads as follows:

Dear Mom and Dad,
By the time you read this note, I will be long gone to a better place. Nobody knows my struggle or all the things that I've been through. Every since I transitioned to middle school, I have been getting bullied. I'm not really sure why, but Bob Glostner has always had some type of hate against me. Unless, he was jealous, which I highly doubt. In all this time, I have kept quiet because, I wanted to continue to be your little soldier. As long as I kept on smiling, you guys would have never known what was going on with me. The pain became too much to bear, so I took it into my own hands. Do not cry over me, I am no longer in pain. What would make me the happiest if the two of you went on with your lives and remember me for the happy person I portrayed to be. I love you both and I'm always in your hearts.                   -Love Cooper

Tears fell out of Bill's eyes as he folded up the note and stuck it in his back pocket. The police came knocking on the door and I invited them in. "Now, you said your son has committed suicide? Where is he?" The officer questioned. "Right this way," I led the officer to Cooper's room and he walked in. "This is the way you found him when you came home?" Officer Gladstone asked raising his right eyebrow. "No Sir, he was hanging from the ceiling, I took pictures," Bill said pulling out his phone to show the photos to the officer.

"I see, I'll need to take you and your wife down to the station to give a statement," he said . "What about Cooper?" I asked. "Forensics will be by to compile all the evidence and to make sure there was no foul play," he said leaving the room. I held my wife hand trying to assure her that we were in this together and that everything is gonna be ok. I guess it is always darkest before dawn, I thought to myself as the red and blue lights flashed and the siren put off a menacing sound as we headed to the police station.
