Like a record just replaying itself. Over and over and over.
A mask, used to shield true nature. Used to shield the broken glass. And kept it's clean self shown. They were already broken and dirty. but you never specifically saw.

Eva woke up. It was the weekend. She just crawled out of her bed, grabbing her phone. 8 missed calls from Kenny, including pleading texts pleading her to respond. Welp, ignore that. She'll die anyway, so why should anything matter now? It's creeping closer. Her final hour.

Eva took a moment to go through her memories, but all they really had was antique dolls. One imparticular was porcelain skin, blonde hair, and pretty red lips. Icy blue eyes, such as Evas. But this was one she particular despised, but felt sorry for in the end.

Her phone rang. It was Red calling. Eva, in a weak raspy voice, responded 'Hello...?'

"Eva! It's nice to actually hear you!" Red exclaimed. "Can I come over?"

Eva looked at the mess in her room. "Yeah sure" Eva said.

"Great! I'll be headed right over!" Red said, hanging up, and began making her way over to Eva's home. A few minutes later knocks rang from Eva's door, and the voices began its unusual jibber jabber.

Don't let them in.

Don't invite the monsters in.

They'll just break you and tear you apart.

Eva, ignoring the voices, just walked downstairs and opened the door, Red waiting. Red frowns in immediate concern. "Eva! Are you ok?" Red asked. "You don't look very good..."

"I'm fine Red..." Eva said, her voice monotone. What has happened to me? Why do I sound so abnormal. This isn't me at all. I want help, but I don't know how to tell them.

Red sighed, reluctantly accepting her friends words, getting a feeling that she wasn't gonna get a answer that wasn't complete to be precise. "Can we walk to your room?" She asked.

Eva nodded. "Be warned...it's a mess..." And Eva was not wrong. The same concern Red has when she saw Eva at the door, it was even worse. Something was wrong with Eva.

"Eva...." Red began. "Please...talk to me...."

Eva didn't answer. She just stared. But she was just....sad and.....empty? It's just like a hallow shell. At least that's how I like to think about it.

"I'm fine Red," Eva said, more emotion this time, looking at Red with a weak smile. "Don't worry, I just feel a little tired"

Red then immediately went hyper child mode. "Okay! Then I'll tuck you in!" Red exclaimed.

Before Eva knew it, she was on her couch, covered up. Red sitting next to her. "Did...Something happen when I shut out?" Eva asked. Red stayed quiet. Then she sighed.

"Kevin and I...broke up. Craig and a few others are like, gonna be going places over the summer. It's like just..." Red's words trailed off.

"What made you guys break up?" Eva asked, sitting up. Red looks directly at Eva.

"We just had busy times. We never really get time to spend with eachother any more..." Red said, frowning. Eva frowned.

"I'm sorry Red...I wish I could do something so you would not be sad..." Eva murmured.

Red then went happy. "Enough about me! How is things between you and kenny?"

"I ignored his 8 calls and dozens of messages...."

Red stayed silent for a moment. "WHAT?! WHY?!" Red exclaimed. Eva then felt a huge weight build.

"I...." Eva's voice was shaky. "I guess I....I don't really....I don't really see myself as....." tears welded up in Eva's eyes. "A person anymore to Kenny....And Just a burden...." Eva said, the tears desperately being attempted to be held back. Red gasped, and used her sleeve to wipe Eva's tears.

"Eva....he doesn't see you as a burden. You shouldn't even consider yourself as one....he loves you. I don't think I have ever really seen him this happy...please....don't shut out....try talking things out with him " Red said in a gentle voice, smiling softly at Eva.

"Thank you...." Eva sniffed, wiping her tears that was coming again, Red pulled Eva into a hug. Eva felt like she could enjoy herself the first time in what felt like ages.

The happiness felt amazing. Like the weight was finally lifted, or at least temporary. She didn't care if it was temporary.

30 min. Later.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN 'SHE'S PROBABLY FINE?!' ALSO HAND ME BACK MY DAMN PHONE!" Kenny snapped. Cartman was trying to keep Kennys phone out of his reach. Kenny did not desire to hurt Cartman.

"She's probably sleeping! Who fucking knows you expect me to have an explanation for everything?!" Cartman snapped. Kenny just stopped. Tears welled up in his eyes.

"Please...hand me my phone back...please...I need to at least get some kind of response...if I don't...I'll go to her house....I don't care...." Kenny pleaded, tears poured down his cheeks. His blue eyes becoming glossy. Cartman reluctantly handed Kennys phone back.

Kennys phone vibrated, it was a text from Eva.

'Sorry for not responding, I am okay. I didn't mean to make you worry" Eva sent. Kenny felt relief. Sweet relief.

'Great! I'm heading over!' Kenny sent.

Just in case. A few minutes later Kenny arrived at Eva's house, knocking on her door. As if all at once, Eva opened the door and then fell into Kennys arms, letting herself be consumed by his warmth.

"Hey, sweetheart...." Kenny said, kissing Eva on the forehead.

"Hello Kenny..." Eva said quietly. "I love you so much...please don't forget that..."

And he never did.
