Gia and Rosalynn have a heart to heart, finally at least connecting, finally able to see a vulnerable side of Gia.
"Gia....can you answer? I know you can hear me..." Rosa said softly, standing in front of the house door. "I want to ask you something..."
Silence.
"Please answer me..." Rosa said quietly. Gia opened the door, she seemed honestly annoyed, but calm. Rosa perked up. "Oh my god Gia thank god I want to-"
"Not only that you have pestered me for a few weeks, you also just beg and beg for me to get out of the house. Even after I stabbed that bunny. You have my attention, what is it?" Gia asked.
"There's a dance coming, it's not necessarily a fancy thing. But its like a whole get together thing, there can be games, drinks, it's just some nice fun. I'd want you to come with! I plan on bringing my little sister and Karen as well," Rosa explained. "I can be there for as moral support, maybe just try and relax and have fun"
Gia didn't say anything and looked down. She decided to open up to chances. "Yeah...sure...okay..." Gia nodded, Rosa squealing with excitement, immediately pulled Gia into a hug, Gia pushed Rosa back.
"Just...don't push it..." Gia warned. Rosa quickly nodded.
"You won't regret it! I'll give you the information it's tomorrow after school just immediately after school e-" Rosa was cut off with the door slammed in her face.
"Welp! At least it's progress!" Rosa exclaimed, quickly running off, going to go tell Kyle the news.
Kyle was at the park with his fellow friends. Rosa immediately ran up to Kyle like sonic. "Kyle! Gia is gonna come with to the dance!" Rosa exclaimed. Kyle seemed shocked.
"You convinced her?" Kyle asked, still shocked. Rosa nodded cheerfully.
"She's coming with me, Karen, and Ashlynn," Rosa explained. Kyle sighed.
"Gia needs to like...at least relax..." Kyle said.
The dance was somewhat okay. "Come on Gia, please don't be hesitant now, you made it this far!" Rosa exclaimed. Karen and Ashlynn stayed silent.
"I don't think they well...would be so glad to see me...LikE thIs?" Gia said, waving to her entire appearance.
"We'll just have to talk to them," Rosa said, holding out her hand to Gia. Gia gave out a small smile, taking Rosa's hand and then Rosa escorted Gia in the school.
When they made it in the cafeteria where the dance was happening, Gia felt like, somewhat self concious. But then again, she didn't. "Come on. I'll take you to a few people," Rosa said after a few minutes, taking Gia to a group of girls. Wendy was the first to look at Gia, surprised.
"U-Um...Hi!" Gia exclaimed, nervous.
Red immediately somehow reverted to a hyper, and cheerful persona. "Gia! It's nice to see you!" Red exclaimed, I love Red.
"It's been a while, how have things been?" Wendy asked, looking at Gia. Gia then chuckled nervously.
"It's just...online school...ahaha..." Gia was clearly nervous.
"I heard that stuff can be difficult..." Wendy said, taking a sip of mountain dew. Bebe scoffed. Nicole raised an eyebrow at Bebe.
"What's wrong with you?" Nicole asked.
"You all are suddenly just being nice to her? Don't you remember how crazy this bitch is?" Bebe asked, Gia looked down.
Shut up.
"Hey Bebe I'm sure she never actually hurt you guys sh-" Rosa began.
"Yeah, but it's clear she's hurt other people. What else has she been doing huh? Carving up animals?" Bebe scoffed. "She's a freak, and we all are simply being nice to her because a girl she was never gonna have simply died."
"BEBE!" Literally almost the entire girl table snapped at Bebe. Gia ran off.
"Gia!" Rosa exclaimed, running after her, she trusted Karen and Ashlynn not to get into any trouble, so it should be okay.
Rosa was out of the building, it was night. She spotted Gia sitting near some trees, on the grass. Rosa walked over. "May I sit...?" Rosa asked. Gia didn't respond.
"I don't wanna talk right now..." Gia mumbled, finally answering. Rosa sighed and sat down anyway.
"Gia...what was Eva to you...?" Rosa asked, attempting to seek answers in Gia's moment of vulnerability. It was kinda wrong, but she needed answers.
Gia sighed. "I...we....Eva and I...we were like...best friends. Probably my only friend. I loved her yes, but I was okay with her not feeling that same feeling. I was fine with her loving Kenny...I was fine with her having a life outside of our time together," Gia said quietly, years welling up in her eyes. "...all our friends would judge me...but not Eva. She never agreed with what they said...she never talked bad bad...of course being dissapointed okay. But Eva never harshly judged my actions. She accepted me. She didn't just treat me like some joke..." Gia sniffed. "And then....all at once. I'm told she was gonna die. I didn't even have a chance to say goodbye...I know nobody likes me. But it still hurts when being told face to face..."
Rosa now thinks she has some words to give to Gia. "I think they're just confused," Rosa said finally. Gia looked at Rosa, confused on what she meant. "Maybe they treat you like the way they do because they don't get you and see you as just some insane. This moment you seem to act like any other heartbroken human being in some strange way. You were hurt, by people you loved. Your parents also just seen kinda dissmissive of you" Rosa said. Gia looked away, not responding.
"Gia..." Rosa grabbed Gia's hand gently. "You'll learn to love again. You'll find something that can seal your broken heart. You can't let something from the past hold you down. You have to find some way to move on, keep living. I may not understand you, but I want to. I want to see a more human side of you," Rosa added. "It hurts, it all hurts. There's no way I can comprehend what you have been through, but the pain of losing someone you love, that always hurts. But you have to find some way to live on."
Gia looked at Rosa again, looking down. "Will you come back? We can just start over with your reintroductions. But I'll be more careful with who you come in contact with..." Rosa said.
Gia took a deep breath. With a shaky voice she looks up at Rosa.
"Okay"
