"They've been in there a long time." I muttered, quickly sticking my head out from where Octavia and I were hidden, awaiting Clarke so we could get her back out of camp.
Octavia nodded, joining me in peering down the corridor, "If they're not out in five minutes...I'll go in."
I perked up at the sound of footsteps coming toward us, "Someone's coming." I whispered, pulling Octavia back so we were hidden once again.
I pressed my back up against the wall as voices met my ears. I could tell one was Clarke and one was Bellamy, but it didn't sound like things had gone well.
I turned to Octavia, lowering my voice, "Something's not right."
Wordlessly, I looked back down the corridor, being met with the sight of Bellamy and another Farm Station guard pulling a handcuffed Clarke down the hallway. I let out a quiet curse as I ducked back behind the wall, "He's turning her in." I snapped, angry that Clarke hadn't been able to sway Bellamy.
"Damnit." Octavia whispered, looking down the hall for herself, before rejoining me. "Stay here." she whispered, "Don't let them see you."
I locked eyes with her for a moment, knowing this was probably goodbye for now. It had been agreed that I would stay in Arkadia, while Octavia and Clarke left. We needed an inside man, or in my case woman. I'd work with Kane, funnelling any information I could gather.
I pulled her into a quick hug as the voices got closer, "Be safe." I whispered.
She nodded as we pulled apart, giving my hand a quick squeeze, "You too."
And then she was gone, jumping in front of Bellamy and the guard. She didn't hesitate in knocking the guard to the ground, then turning her focus to her brother.
I watched from my hiding place as Bellamy stared back at his sister, "You can't just hit a guard." he chastised, still holding his grip on Clarke.
Octavia didn't back down, "I just did ." she muttered, "Let her go."
Bellamy pulled Clarke behind him, shaking his head, "I can't do that."
"Come on Bellamy." I whispered so only I could hear, desperately hoping there was still a chance he was on our side.
But it looked like there was no chance. Bellamy held firm, telling Octavia that she needed to go.
I felt my heart drop as the sound of approaching guards echoed through the halls. Apparently, that had caused a distraction for everyone, as Bellamy took a step away from Clarke, toward his sister.
The minute Clarke was free, I watched as she reached for the electric prod on the fallen guard's belt, wasting no time in jabbing it into Bellamy's ribs. I felt myself wince as I watched him gasp for air before collapsing to the ground.
