Chapter 25

Another 2 months(its April now) have passed and I'm 7 months pregnant. School has been great. Everyone is being nice. Its weird being so popular. Sometimes I miss when it was just Nik and I.

Nik and I are sitting at lunch with our friends. "So next week is the trial. Are you ready?" Michael asks.

"I'm ready for it to be over. The principle gave Nik and I the week off of school. Officer Daniels says I have to be there no matter what. So he talked to the principle." I say.

Everyone looks at each other, then look to us with smiles. "Well we all talked, then well talked to our parents. Then they talked to the principle and our teachers. We will be there with you everyday." Ashley says.

I look at everybody and smile. "You guys are the best friends a girl could ask for." We all hug.

The day continues and its finally time to go home for the weekend. Nik drives us home. We sit in silence until he asks. "Are you ok?"

I sigh. "I'm just ready for this trial to be over. We are going to have to deal with the press again. To be honest, I would rather just stay home and just relax before graduation and before the babies get here. I'm exhausted."

He grabs my hand and kisses my knuckles. "I know my love, I would rather stay home and finish the nursery. As soon as next week is done we will get to relax. We can work on the nursery tomorrow. All we have to do is set everything up."

"Yeah, I just have a feeling something big is going to happen next week."

"I have that feeling also. But we will get through it together, like we always do." He smiles at me.

When we get home Aaron is waiting outside for us. "Its about time you got home."

"Aaron what are you doing?"

"Uhh waiting for you guys. I have a surprise for you both. Come on."

We follow him and he takes us to our room and then points to the archway to the nursery. We walk inside and gasp. "Aaron, you didn't have to do this."

We look around and see that everything has been set up and arranged. "I know I didn't have to, but I wanted to make things easier for you. I want you to relax as much as possible." He says with a grin. "Cant have you stressing out, the babies will come to early."

I turn to him and give him a big hug. "Thank you so much. You have been such a huge help around here. I love you."

"I love you too. Both of you. Oh there is something else. Remember that interview I had for that office job? Well, I got the job."

"Congrats man. We have news also. Riley here decided that she wants to become a counselor for people who have had life altering accidents and veterans. She can take online courses to start and stay home with the babies. Also the book is about done." Nik says with a smile.

"That's awesome." We all give each other a hug.

"So... this momma is hungry. Nik what's for dinner?"

He smiles at me. "RRC."

"Oh you are my hero! I have been craving that." I give him a kiss.

"I'll go get it started. Want to help?"

"I will just sit and watch you make it this time. My feet hurt."

"Ok." He kisses me then we head to the kitchen.

Soon we are done eating. I lay in bed as Nik rubs my feet. "That feels good."

"Good. Anything to make you happy."
