I finally stopped running after we crossed my favorite bridge and got to the picnic area that held grassy hills. I turned around to see Austin right behind me. He stopped beside me and put his hands on his knees.
"I haven't ran like that since high school P.E.," he chuckled, out of breath. I laughed at him and then sat down on the grass, also trying to catch my breath. He sat down across from me and rested his arms on his knees.
"Isn't it gorgeous?" I said, looking around and then looking back at him to find him staring at me.
"Yeah," he said, not breaking eye contact. "She is."
I just blushed and looked away.
"You know, I want to apologize," he spoke up again and I looked at him.
"What for?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"Taking you to a fucking pool hall," he said and I laughed, shaking my head. "I mean you brought me here and I took you to a pool hall?"
"I enjoyed it," I smiled at him as I crossed my legs. "A lot."
"Uh huh, I bet you did," he said and I slapped him lightly, earning a laugh from him. "I did, too. But this is so much better."
"I don't know much about you, Austin," I told him, looking into his eyes that you could just barely tell were blue in this lighting.
"And I don't know much about you, Georgia," he replied to me, pushing his curls out of his face. I nodded and looked away.
"Well, what do you want to know?" I questioned, leaning back on the grass.
"Everything," he smiled at me and then repeated himself, slower this time, "Everything."
"Okay, let's see. I have two sisters, Arizona and Indiana," I started off with. "Arizona is older, Indiana is younger."
"Hold up," he chuckled. "Arizona, Georgia, and Indiana? States?"
"It's so stupid," I shook my head. "We all have different dads. My mom loved to have sex back in the day, clearly," I said and he laughed at me. "She was on tour when she was pregnant with every single one of us, completely coincidental. So she named us after the state she was in when she had us."
"That is actually so awesome," He shook his head in amazement. "Have you ever been to Georgia?"
"Nope, besides my birth," I shook my head. "And Arizona and Indiana have never been to either of their states."
"Well, I have actually been to all three," he nodded. "And Georgia has been my favorite."
"The state, maybe," I chuckled at him. "But my sisters are something else. There's no way I'd be your favorite if you met them."
"I hope I will someday," He said, reaching over and grabbing my hand. I never even considered Austin being the romantic type but tonight has been nothing but. He's so sweet and he listens.
"You're exactly Indy's type," I said, intertwining our fingers. He squeezed my hand once ours were interlocked.
"What do you mean?" He questioned, looking at our connected hands. He looked confused, like he didn't understand why he was acting this way.
"She loves edgy boys, boys that are tall with dark hair and tattoos. Just... you," I told him and he brought my hand up to his lips, planting a small kiss. I couldn't help but wonder why he was being so caring.
"I don't want to talk about your sister right now," He said to me. "I want to hear about you. When did you start baking? How do you like your coffee? What's your favorite movie? Stuff like that."
