Months passed. Kuruma and Mihawk has been training partners for a long time. He seen how much Kuruma improved over the past few months. She was turning into an exceptionally strong swordswoman. She was practically at his level.

Over the past few months, Kuruma felt like she's known Mihawk since her childhood. Mihawk eventually started to warm up to her, still maintaining his serious personality. He would hint a little smile every once in a while. Whenever she managed to see his smile, she would blush all over the place.

They learned to share stuff with each other. Mihawk finally confessed that he knew she was a princess. Kuruma, shocked at him, learned to get over her past and forgave him. No bad fights between them ever happened. Mihawk would understand her perfectly and solve any of her problems, physical or mental problems. He practically became her bodyguard.

The humandrills finally acknowledged Kuruma's strength and her reputation, now they're willing to not fight her again in a real right. They helped her with her training and watched her skills increase in power.

Kuraigana Island was considered her home now.

Not Hotaru Island, not the Raven Kingdom. Kuraigana Island.

Right now, in the middle of the forest, Kuruma was swinging her sword, cutting down trees with her katana while sparing with a humandrill. She wiped some blood from her lips and smirked. "I think that's enough for today." Kuruma put her katana back in its case. The humandrill nodded and returned back into the dark forest to join the humandrill tribe.

Jumping from tree to tree, Kuruma leapt all the way back to the castle. Mihawk should be inside the castle, sitting in his normal armchair with a newspaper in one hand and red wine in the other.

Entering the castle through her bed room window, bursting open her door, and rushing down the stairs, Kuruma had the perfect plan to try and break Mihawk's serious face. Not literally. She would finally have the chance to scare Mihawk.

Quietly jumping down the staircases, Kuruma saw Mihawk reading his newspaper and sipping on some wine, like usual. He looked like he was deeply interested in the article he was reading and was in his own world. "Perfect." Kuruma smirked.

Yes, she's a 33 year old. That didn't stop her from anything.

Silently, she crepy around everywhere corner of the vast living room until she was behind Mihawk's chair. And then quickly, without hesitating, she sprinted up to the chair and:

"HI THERE BIRDY!!!!"

Mihawk's eyes slightly widened and he coughed up his drink. He whirled around to see a hysterically laughing Kuruma on the floor, holding her stomach and a huge smile plastered on her face. Mihawk pinched his nose bridge and sighed. He put down his newspaper, stood up and walked up to the laughing woman.

He raised his eyebrow and kneeled down before Kuruma. "Finally I made your facial expression change!! Yes!!" she laughed. Mihawk again sighed, hid a grin, and stared at her intensely. His eyes made her shut up.

He stared at her for a long time. Kuruma stared back, her eyes glistening with tears of laughter. After what seemed like 10 minutes, she started to get bored. She started to doze off.

Double checking she was dozing off, Mihawk cracked his knuckles.

At a fast speed, he started to tickle Kuruma's side. Waking up from her daze, she started to laugh. "Mihawk stop it!!!" she laughed. Mihawk smirked. She tried to swat him away but he was stronger. Way stronger. "Ok ok I'm sorry!!!" Kuruma giggled. She breathed in heavily as Mihawk got off her.

Mihawk held out a hand to help her up. Her hand didn't come up. "Mihawk...I can't feel my body...help.." Kuruma sighed. Mihawk grunted as he picked up Kuruma and set her on a chair. She struggled to catch her breath.

"You know why can't you always be fun like that everyday? It would be nice to finally see you put down your newspaper and play around." Kuruma chuckled as she turned to face Mihawk.

"First of all, grow up."

"No thank you sir!"

"Second, how was training with the humandrills?"

"Pretty good. We got some bruises, some cuts, nevertheless pretty good." Kuruma sat up. "So what kind of boring article did you read this time?" she joked. She expected a sigh. Mihawk shook his head. "I didn't really read anything today. I was just lost in thought." Mihawk rolled back into his chair.

"Then what were you thinking about?" Kuruma asked, curiousity completly taking over her mind. Mihawk sighed. "I got a call from my Den Den Mushi from the other Shichibukai." Mihawk started to say. Kuruma held her chin.

"Apparently, Fire Fist Ace has been captured and sent to Impel Down."

Impel Down, located at Marineford, the number one prison to send criminals to. No one has ever escape its grueling challenges. There was only one person to escape though, Golden Lion Shiki. It was a scary place, thousands of prisoners yelling and screaming for freedom. It was like a torture chamber.

"He was planning on being executed. And he was just about to when Straw Hat Luffy interfered."

Straw Hat Luffy, his real name being Monkey D. Luffy, is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. He's famous for being the Gomu-Gomu devil fruit user and for his high bounty. He was the "brother" of Ace.

"The Whitebeard Pirates, the pirate crew Ace belonges to, joined Monkey D. Luffy at Marineford. A war's going to break out so they invited me to join them along with the other Shichibukai." Mihawk said.

The words processed through Kuruma's head. War, Marineford, Impel Down, bad stuff. She gasped quietly. She looked at Mihawk with a little hint of worry in her eyes. Thinking she was going to worry about him, Mihawk sat up.

"Kuruma-"

"Can I go with you!??!!?"" her eyes twinkled and an excited look was shown on her face. Mihawk held his forehead. "No you can't. It's far too dangerous." Mihawk shook his head.

"But-"

"Yes you're on my level. But no."

"Yeah but-"

"Kuruma, I'm sorry but no. That's final." Mihawk put an end to the conversation. "Go resume your training or something."

Kuruma pouted. "Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase!!! I'm not scared of a war!! I want to do something fun!" she whined. "Kuruma." Mihawk stopped her from further whining. He stared at her intensely. His stare would always make her be quiet. "I don't want you getting hurt." she blushed when she heard those words. "You might be strong, but I still don't want you to get injured."

The two were silent for a while. Kuruma was lost in thought.

"Mihawk, please?" Kuruma pleaded. Mihawk sighed, shook his head, and left the room. Kuruma just sat there, pouting. "There's nothing to do now." she still thought about those words Mihawk said to her, it made her squeal a little bit.

Eventually finding herself outside, she walked around and tried to get some fresh air. "Nothing to dooo nothing to dooo UGH." Kuruma sighed. She kept walking until she reached the center of the forest.

"Humandrills? Come out come out!!" she called. Her voice echoed throughout the forest. No one answered. "Humandriiiiiiiiiiiiils!!!!!! Wakey wakey!!!! C'mon out!!! It's me Kuruma!!!!" she tried to call again. A humandrill came out.

"Hi there!" Kuruma chuckled. "Let's talk business."

The humandrill lifted a huge furry eyebrow. "I give you 50 bananas in exchange for helping me prank Mihawk." she smirked mischeviously.

The humandrill nodded its head.
