Ashlyn was currently sitting inside of Starbucks waiting for Kourtney to arrive. She was just scrolling mindlessly through instagram on her phone when she felt a tap ok her shoulder.
"Hey! Oh my gosh!" Ashlyn said as she got up to greet Kourtney.
"Ash! It's been so long!" Kourtney said as she sat down on the seat across from her.
"Yeah.. it's been like five years?" Ashlyn said as Kourtney nodded. "Uhh, not to make this conversation awkward already, but um, why did you ignore all of us during senior year?"
Kourtney scrunched her brows for a moment, then made an "oh" face. "Oh yea, um. I don't know if I could tell you."
"Why not?" Ashlyn asked as she gave a confused look.
"It's not really my place to tell.." Kourtney mumbled, but Ashlyn knew why.
"Is it because of Nini?"
Kourtney just looked at her and then fiddled with her fingers.
"Yeah, but she's alright, and healthy! I promise!" Kourtney said as Ashlyn just smiled in response.
"Okay, i'm going to order something first. do you want me to get you anything?" Ashlyn asked as she stood up.
"Yea, just an iced coffee!" Kourtney said as Ashlyn gave her a thumbs up.
