"So you want us to invent time travel?" Natasha asked, placing a hand on the metal crate beside her. Astrid, Makayla, Arkin, Scott and Nathaniel had made their way to the Avengers Base that night so that they could pitch their idea the next morning and get the project started, which is where they are at now.

The entire team, featuring Nat, Steve, Rhodes, Rocket and Nebula were there waiting for Astrid to continue explaining. "Yes, we want to invent the times of the travel." Arkin smiled his toothy grin. Astrid patted him on the shoulder. "I'm sorry, who are these two again?" Rocket asked, crossing his arms. "Rocket this is my previously dead twin brother Arkin and Dr. Scott Lang, AKA Antman." Astrid introduced. "I've um, worked with you guys before." Scott said nervously. Steve nodded in his direction and Nat did a fake salute as Rhodes laughed a little before the conversation started up again.

"Right, so time travel..."

"Oh, yes. Just like the time stone could rewind and fast forward time, well that's what we want to do essentially. Go back in time to a place where the stones were before they were destroyed, before Thanos even started his war path, to do that we need Pim Particles which Dr. Lang has the only problem is, we don't know how to build a time machine." Makayla stated. Rhodes scoffed. "Well look around you're the only scientists in the room."

"But it's not like we don't have one we can call, or two." Nate stated. Steve shook his head. "We can't call Tony, he's gotta daughter now." He stated. "Then we call Bruce..."

The conversation carried on but Astrid zoned out a little bit. Tony had a family? Over the five years that they were gone, Tony had had another kid with Pepper... Anthony's sister, and if they didn't fix this he'd never get to see her and she'd have to live off the stories of the brother she never met. Who wants to be an incomplete story? One that should of had so many more pages than it did.

Zoning back in she started to come up with an idea. "Bruce will help us get the design for the machine ready with the Pim Particles while the rest of us track down Tony's whereabouts just in case we need his help." She said. Nat shook her head. "Why would he want to get back into the hero business, he's lost so much already and is he comes back he'll just be dragging the rest of his family in with him." "Anthony is his family, his first family and as messed up as this sounds he was here first and Tony needs to help bring him back."

There was silence for a minute as the thoughts processed. "This might be our last shot at this guys. Years and years of studying and solving all lead up to this, it's been five years and we may have the key to fixing everything but we have to act now before the ones that were lost come back to a world where they were forgotten. What about the people who lost literally everyone? Their mom, their dad, their kids, their wife, everyone. He's never gonna forget that and neither can we, we owe it to the ones that were lost to try one last time to get them back."

Just as Astrid wrapped up her speech, a knock on the door came causing the alarms to go off and the cameras to cut on. "Who the hell found us?" Rhodes asked, moving to the monitor and everyone else following suit. The screen cut on and an image of a guy in a black leather jacket, jeans and a T- Shirt with a black baseball cap on and blonde hair waiting outside shown onto the screen. He looked around for a little until he saw the camera and he then began to wave vigorously at it.

"Cut the sound on." Steve directed. Nate pressed a button and the sound blared. "Hey! It's me, open up!" The person yelled. Astrid rolled her eyes internally as she realized who it was. "Oh my god." Makayla laughed, trying to hold it back when she saw that Astrid was turning red.

It was Carson.

A few minutes later, everyone was back in the meeting room trying to pin a location on Bruce and Tony while Carson settled himself back into the base. Astrid tried her best to ignore him by hurrying off to the next room whenever he entered or trying to appear focused on a task whenever he came near her. It was no secret that the two were on terrible terms after their crater sized breakup that made New York's biggest pothole since the Hulk's a few years back. But for some reason Astrid found it easier to breathe when he was in the room, and she hated it with a passion. She had no intent in being with him ever again so why was it just so easy around him?
