In any other situation, Astrid would have felt the disturbance. A part of her was just yanked from the planet but she was too happy to even recognize that that was the feeling that she had as she clutched her heart in pain.

"Yikes, heartburn." She laughed, waiting for the timer to run out so they could go home. Luckily, no one was at the castle because of the battle waging with the Jane and the elf king or whatever. Honestly, this battle was so insignificant. Uncle Loki fake died and caused a bunch of problems and then Thor and Jane finally tied the knot out of fear that Jane would die. They get divorced, Thor leaves the throne to Arkin, Jane get's cast out, Astrid feels forgotten and you know the rest. Battle insignificant, the events following, nothing but painful.

But Astrid couldn't think of it any other way. Think of that as you will but this was her unnatural normal.

"When everyone come back, the first thing I'm doing is going to eat shawarma." Astrid revealed. "Shawarma?" Rocket asked. "Yeah, Sarah wanted to try it and we need some peace in our lives so shawarma sounds like a plan."

"Shawarma...after the battle of New York Stark treated us to a meal at a place that sold the shawarma. Perhaps you could take your friends there." He requested. Astrid smiled. "I think I will."

Nate had been waiting at the meet up spot for ten minutes, checking his clock he realized they had less than 35 minutes to get back to the arrival spot so they could get bought back to the present with the stones. But Tony, Scott and Steve were nowhere to be found. He shouldn't have left him, he could have helped Steve not just ran. What if he needed help and Nate was no where to be found, he was all alone fighting himself.

But just as he was about to panic and go after him, the Captain ran over, panting and covered in scratches and bruises but, fine. "Please tell me you got the-" Nate held up the case with the scepter and mind stone and Steve breathed a sigh of relief.

"Good. Old me really gave me a run for my money." He admitted. "Now where's Tony and Scott?" He asked. Nate was about answer when someone else did for him. "We're right here!" Scott yelled coming around the corner. "Okay good, where's the stone?" Steve asked, not seeing them holding anything. "Ah, well-" Before they could answer, Bruce came running up the street with the time stone in his pocket.

"She made he work for it but I got it." Bruce laughed. So all the stones were accounted for...wait, then why did Scott and Tony look ghost white.

"We um, have a surprise." Scott joked nervously. "We didn't get the stone."

"You what?" Nate, Steve and Bruce yelled at the same time. Tony raised his hands. "Hey listen! Scott and I had a full proof plan and we had the stone in our possession and we were on the way to the alley when all of a sudden 2012 big green busts through the doors to the stairs and knocks both Scott and I down and the space stone got taken by Loki who teleported away before we could even get up to stop it. So not technically our fault." Tony explained. "Tony..." Steve started.

"I know, I know."

"No, you don't know. This was our last shot, we don't have another chance and Loki will be impossible to locate and get to in 25 minutes. It's over, do you not understand that? We just lost the last chance we had to bring her back." Never had Nate nor Tony nor Scott seen Steve cry and the last time Bruce saw it, he had just lost his daughter...and now it was happening again.

"Steve, I have a plan okay but I'll need your help." He said. "There's no time for a plan." Steve shook his head. Tony smiled, "We still have enough pim particles to make one more jump and still get back in time with the stone."

Tony explained his plan to Steve and a few moments later the Captain nodded and the two adjusted their watches and set their pim particles. "Wait, where are you two going? We're still missing a stone we can't go back home yet." Scott interrupted, very confused. Tony turned to look at the group, "There's another mind stone back in 1970 at a SHIELD base. Steve and I have just enough particles to get there and back but we only have 23 minutes so you three wait here for us and try not to alter the timeline until we get back." He instructed, and before anyone could object, the two Avengers were gone in an instant.
