when jeongguk walked into the cafe, he went straight to the oak wood register to order a fruit salad.

he missed the cafe dearly. the way the early morning sun was shining through the large windows cast a warm glow onto its beige and white furniture.

jeongguk smiled at the cashier. they all knew each other, that's what happens when you visit the same place for over a hundred days.

the boy sat down in his usual seat. he didn't have his computer; he only had his phone. jeongguk pulled out said device and saw taehyung's contact, questioning if he should send a message.

'hey. it's jeongguk. yknow the boy from campus / the cafe. i know i haven't been at the cafe in a while but i'm here again.'

and then jeongguk just waited.

taehyung almost didn't go the cafe that day.

he was dressed and ready to go to campus. with his bulky art portfolio and his laptop bag, he was about to set out to go to school.

that was until he got a notification. with confusion, taehyung reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.

it was a message from jeongguk.

taehyung didn't care about going to campus anymore. he placed his bulky bags down at the front door and quickly fixed up his hair, making sure he looked fresh and neat.

and with doing so, he went out to see jeongguk.
