Ten: I Miss You

Jace's POV

I scrolled through Instagram when I came on a post that Riele had posted on her spam account.

I read the caption and grimaced.

"She's probably talking about Caleb" I muttered.

I rolled over on my side and felt this dark feeling take over me. I felt like I was extremely anxious and I did not know what to do.

No one could help me with this, not that I wanted help and I felt like the only person who could help me with this was...Riele. But she is definitely not an option right now. I feel bad that I blocked her but at the same time I am suppose to love Isabela and not her, so I have to keep her out of my life or else things could end really badly for both of us. Not to mention she has Caleb and I bet she does not want to ruin that.

I grabbed my phone and went to my contacts. I tapped on Cree's contact and began to text her.

Me: I need your advice

Cree🐛: With what?

Me: Riele

Cree🐛: Ft me

I clicked the FaceTime button and it rang Cree.

"What's up bitch" She said answering the phone and stuffing her face with popcorn at the same time.

"Don't call me a bitch" I said rolling my eyes.

"Bitch" Cree smirked. "Anyways what about Riele?" She asked looking directly at me.

"What I'm about to tell you, you can't tell anybody" I said to her.

"What're you going to tell me, that you like her or something?" Cree joked.

I kept my eyes down and didn't say anything. Cree noticed I wasn't laughing and her eyes widened.

"Oh my fucking gosh" She said her mouth opening wide, "You like Riele!" She screamed.

I ran a hand over my face and groaned, "Cree oh my gosh can you not yell" I said.

"Oh relax Norman, there is no one around me" She said rolling her eyes.

I sighed, "So can you help me?" I asked.

"Jace if you like Riele you like her, you can't fight feelings, that's a fight you'll never win" She said. "But I can guarantee if you shoot your shot with Riele, you won't miss" She smiled.

I slightly smiled and twiddled my thumbs, "What about Isa though, like I gave her a promise ring" I said.

"Jace you can't keep pretending that you love her when that's clearly not true and you owe it to Isa to tell her truth" Cree said.

I nodded my head, "You know you're kinda good at this" I said.

"At what?" Cree asked cocking her head to the side.

"Advice" I smiled.

Cree blushed, "I know" She said flipping her hair over her shoulder.

I now know what I have to do, it won't be easy but I have to do it.

I stood outside of Isabela's house hesitating to ring the doorbell.

I had clamy hands and I felt sick to my stomach.

As I was about to ring the doorbell the door swung open and there stood Isabela with a confused look on her face.

"Baby?" She questioned opening the door wider. "What're you doing here?" She asked throwing herself in my arms. I slowly wrapped my arms around her knowing that I was about to break her heart.

I pulled away from the hug and looked down on her, "We need to talk" I said.

Isabela arched an eyebrow, "Is everything okay?" She asked.

I shook my head, "No".

I walked back into my car with my heart in my stomach. I had a slap mark on my cheek from Isabela and the promise ring clenched in my right hand.

Isabela did not take the breakup well at all and I felt terrible, but I knew it was something I had to do no matter how bad it would break her.

I got in my car and drove to Riele's house needing to talk to her. I really hoped that I did not just break up with Isabela for no reason.

I was on her street when I saw her and Caleb walking hand and hand on the sidewalk. She was laughing at something he said and he was smiling down on her. I braked my car and watched as she they stood at her porch. He kissed her on the lips and she smiled and waved at him as he got in his car and drove away. Riele walked into her house and closed the door.

As soon as he drove away I drove into her driveway and parked the car. I got out and grabbed the spare key from under the rock and ran up Riele's stairs to her house. I unlocked the door and slammed the door open to see Riele sitting there with a confused look on her face.

"Jace what the hell?!" She exclaimed.

I sat on the couch with her and grabbed her face making her look at me.

"I love you Riele and I'm sorry that it took this long for me to say this, but I fucking love you Riele and I want everyone to know" I said.

Riele opened her mouth to say something but I cut her off by placing my lips on hers.
