About a month had gone by and the girls hadn't heard back from Joan about a new placement. Ellie had been playing cards with some of the other children there while Cassidy read a book over in the rec room. She looked at her hand and saw that she had a full house but she didn't want the rest of the table to know that. She made sure that she kept every muscle in her face completely still. "Are you all in Ellie?" one of the boys asked. She put her pretzels in the center of the pile. Two other girls folded. "Quads the boy smiled". Ellie showed a shocked face. "Guess I win." he smiled. "I dont think so" She smiled, placing down her winning hand. She Loved it when she could mess with people's minds.

"Ellie" she heard someone call from behind her. She turned around to see Joan standing there. "I need you and Cassidy to pack your things. I found a placement for you two."she smiled. She went up to the bedrooms and packed her and Ellies things. She went and met them in the car.

"So where are we going?" Ellie asked. "There is a family in the small country town of Airedale who was willing to take both of you girls in. Isn't that amazing." She smiled "Have they done this before?" Ellie asked. "Yeah they actually adopted all two of their daughters through the foster system." she went on and on about how great the family was. Ellie tuned her out when she went into "This being a good setup for her".

Cassidy was asleep in the back of the car when they arrived there about an hour and a half later. There they stood, great posture and big smiles on their face. They looked normal, almost perfect. "Hi, my name is Alice, this is my husband Jack and our daughters. Say hello girls." she ordered them to. Caroline and Lettie were their names. She walked right up to Ellie and Cassidy taking them in her warm embrace.

"Well I just need to see where the girls will be sleeping." Joan budged in. "Alice cleared her throat telling Joan to follow her. "They will both sleep in here, it is a little bland because I thought that the two of you would like to decorate it in your own fashion instead of mine." She joked. Joan asked to speak to me before she had to leave.

"I already don't like them. They seem to perfect." Ellie blurted out. "Ellie, I just wanted to say that I need for you to make this work. I know the last foster home wasn't all that great but couples like Jack and Alice are rare to find." She stated. "You think i'm gonna mess this up?" Ellie asked, feeling offended. "I'm not saying that. All I'm saying is some of the homes before the last one were all having complaints about you. If this doesn't work I'm gonna start having to think about Cassidys best interest." she finished. "What are you saying?" Ellie asked her. "If this doesnt work more than likely i'm going to split you up. So if I were you I would make this work... for Cas." Joan packed the remainder of paperwork into the briefcase and headed to the front door.

"Well I hope everything will work out. I'll be in touch and I'll be here in about two weeks for an update." Joan smiled at Alice. "Okay you have our numbers and address." Alice smiled. "So who's ready for dinner?" Alice turned and asked.
