Ellie was beginning to get over whatever sickness she had. She had regained some of her strength and decided that she would go downstairs to enjoy a little bit of the scenery that the Duncan property had to offer. She made a cup of coffee and went out to sit on the front patio. She enjoyed the fresh air and cool breeze that the afternoon had to offer her. The rest of the household were off at church. Alice thought that it would be a good time to introduce her and Cassidy to the church. Ellie somehow convinced the woman that she would much rather take time to get some rest.

As Ellie sat there looking at the scenery she saw a familiar face pop up. It was Ethan, "Haven't seen you at school for a couple of weeks." Ethan smiled. Ellie was stunned. "How did you..." " I was just waiting for a day where the Duncans went back to church. And before you ask I go to the same church as them." he interrupted. "So why did you decide to come to the crazy weird Duncan house?" Ellie questioned. "Well I actually was supposed to bring you the work for the upcoming month. Apparently you aren't gonna be in school for a couple more months." He responded. "What are you talking about? I'm coming back to school tomorrow." She responded. Ethan shrugged his shoulders and told her that he needed to go.

Ellie walked back into the house and sat on the couch. "Why the hell does he think I'm not coming back to school?" she thought to herself.  "Maybe the school got the dates wrong." she assumed. For the rest of her time alone she sat in her room and drew pictures of Ethan. His hazel eyes just twinkled when they were in the light. She couldn't help but think about them. Ellie heard the door open and heard the family walk in, she went downstairs to Alice to clear it up. "I think there is a mix-up down that I'm not going back to school for quite some time." she smiled. Alice took off her coat and shoes and made her way to the kitchen with Ellie in tow. "Oh yeah, it's not a mistake. We want to make sure that you are 100 percent okay before sending you back." she replied, taking out a bag of grapes. "Okay but what I don't understand is that I've already missed about 2 weeks of school. I think they would need a doctors note some days in addition to me actually going to see a doctor." she replied angrily.

Alice rinsed off the grapes and called Cassidy in the kitchen for a snack. "Hello?" Ellie yelled. "Eloise, drop it. I already told you." Alice yelled. Cassidy stood looking at her with shocked eyes. Alice had a cold look in her eyes and she was breathing hard. "Don't call me that." Ellie replied back leaving the kitchen. Ushered Cassidy out of the kitchen with teh bowl of grapes.

"What did you guys do at church?" Ellie asked her little sister. "What everyone else does at church, duh." she replied. Ellie, sad on her bed growing angry at Alice for not allowing her to go back to school. "Who does she think she is?" Ellie thought to herself. Ellie left out of her bedroom to go make a phone call. She got to the phone and dialed "" she listened for the dial tone before hearing the familiar voice.

"Hello" she heard Joan say on the other line. "Hey, Joan, it's me Ellie." she got out before Joan cut her off. "Ellie how is everything with the Duncans, I see the paperwork that you aren't able to go back to school, is everything all right?" "That's what I was calling to tell you I haven't..." before he could get her sentence out there was a dial tone. Ellie looked at the phone confused. "What are you doing?" Alice asked.

"Well I thought I would call Joan, but it seems that she thinks I've been to the doctor. Why is that. Alice." Ellie explained to her. Alice looked around to make sure that Cassidy wasn't around. "I think it would be best for you to go and have a moment in your room. If not I'll make sure that you won't see your little sister again." she began. "Make sure that you remain on your best behavior, little one." she finished before walking off.
