Chapter 6~Broken Glass

Emma's PoV

The alarm for the library had been pressed. Last time the library alarm had gone off, Rosaline had resolved the problem before we'd had a chance to arrive, she also hadn't been almost 8 months pregnant.

Felix practically ran once he'd seen the location of the "call", his wife, unborn children, and other family were in there. I'd driven and beat him here.

Opening the door cautiously I saw none other than Walsh. I thought him dead.

"Emma no! Go away! He wants something with you!" Rosaline had fear in her eyes.

"Ha. You've gotten precious Emma all worked up for nothing. I only wanted to see her. That's it." Judging from Rosaline's expression, this wasn't the same demeanor as before. I held fast to my holster.

"Why are you here?

Rosaline went into the library's office. I heard Chip in there as well.

"To see you. And to deliver a message. Though it was for preggers here."

"You can tell me the message. I'll be sure she gets it."

All the sudden Felix came into the library. The only other person I guess who'd known Walsh was Felix and he wasn't too happy about the reunion.

"Bandit! Get out of here! Leave this family alone!"

"It's Walsh you child."

"I couldn't care less. You harmed Rose, not too long ago, and I haven't forgiven you.."

"What's someone like you going to do? Stand by and watch? Again."

"Listen! I don't know what's going on here but you've threatened an innocent person. Scared them to the point they would call the police, and when we arrive you say nothing has gone on?"

"It's true." He was lying. I felt it..

"Felix. Detain him." Legally a woman can't detain a man and vice versa. Plus I had a feeling this wouldn't bode well if I did anything related to him. I sent David a message to bring the Sheriff's car up.

Felix darted to handcuff Walsh when he went flying against the office window, breaking through it, and nearly landing on Chip and Rosaline. Wherever in the office they were.

"FELIX!?" Her voice was shrill.

I used a freezing spell on Walsh. Running into the office things didn't look too good for the father-to-be. His head was bleeding, glass shattered all along him. Rosaline was trying all she could to wake up her husband.

"Brother! Emma?"

"Chip, come here." If anything I needed to remove Chip from seeing the bloody mess Felix had become. Gold and Belle walked in. "Take him."

"What happened?"

"Long story. You think we could place him in your backseat? He needs medical attention, and I still have to arrest Walsh."

-"Come on..something has to work...!"

"I'll move him. Belle you calm down Rosaline. Last thing we need is for her to go into labour right now." Gold had a point. David came in.

"Help Gold carry Felix. I'll make sure Walsh here doesn't have another chance at doing this."

Rosaline's PoV

Moments before...

I had Chip under the solid desk against the wall with a window. I couldn't fit down underneath there, my girth wouldn't allow it. I could hear all of the commotion from Emma and Walsh's conversation. I heard Felix's yells, then the window shattered and glass flew everywhere. His body lay limp on the floor.

"FELIX?!"

I was delusional. Chip was fear-stricken. Emma called him out. Belle held my face away while Father and David carried my husband's body out.

"Shh..baby girl..he'll be okay.."

"Rosy? Are you okay?"

"Come here Chippy. Now are you okay?" I was glad to see that he'd gotten away without a scratch. Felix was tough, and I would've been sent over the edge if I'd allowed my baby brother to be harmed. Especially at so fragile an age.

"The twins are okay?"

"Yes they're fine.."

"Momma? Can we go see brother?"

"We have to wait until the doctor says it's okay." I sat there, broken glass and my husband's blood surrounding me.

-Felix and Walsh apparently have some unfinished business with one another..
