Chapter 20~Holidays in Storybrooke

Christmas Eve,

     The Croft House

Ruby's PoV

Whoa. Rose and the Gold's can certainly decorate a house for family gathering. Tinsel sparkled and glasses clinked, the tree looking magnificent. Smells of all sorts filled everyone's noses, cinnamon and mint and all sorts of foods.

"You certainly know how to decorate Rose."

"You mean the family knows how to decorate, if they hadn't come over I don't think half of this would be here."

"Give yourself some credit, surely you've done a lot."

"With some magical touches absolutely, otherwise not so much." She laughed.

Regina's PoV

"Momma look!" Roland pulled me over to the window. "It's snowing a lot now!"

"Indeed it is."

"Can the kids go play in it?"

"That's up to the parents."

"Chip! Chip! Go ask your Mama if we can play in the snow!" Henry went out with the little boys, he was the "big brother" of all the younger kids, which he enjoyed.

Chip's PoV

"Mama? Can I go play outside with Roland and Neal and Henry?"

"Hmm, what does Daddy say?"

"Let him have some fun. Go for it Chip."

"Duck!" I got hit with a snowball.

"Hey!"

"Neal did it!"

I threw snow at Roland, he was the only one who could throw a snowball that hard and he looked guilty.

"Aw man now we gotta go inside. The adults are calling."

Rosaline's PoV

Everything was going better than what I'd thought. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and presents had been opened. The children certainly seemed pleased and were playing with their newest toys.

"Momma? I'm tired can we go to sleep?"

"Of course darling."

As I carried her upstairs and placed her in the crib Felix appeared and with mistletoe in hand kissed his children's heads, as Adam had already fallen asleep, and then kissed my lips.

"Merry Christmas my darling Rose.."

"Merry Christmas to you my dashing Felix..and our two wonderful little children.."

Rumple's PoV

Looking around it was humorous of how old feuds had mostly been resolved by marriage of one pair or another. Regina and I were family in one way or another, as were her and Snow White. The irony of this all is everywhere.

"Oh Rumple.." There stood Belle with a small thing of white berries. Mistletoe you little festive minx. Playfully we kissed, and Chip gave a face of disapproval and disturbance.

"Can't wait for him to fall asleep now hmm?" I smiled at my wife.

"I'm sure you're not the only one.." She teased.

Rosaline's PoV

Christmas Day

Felix's Parent's House

"Well if it isn't the Golden Croft's."

"Father your sense of humour hasn't disappeared now has it?"

"My son when will it ever?"

Morgan walked over.

"Aren't these two just adorable? I remember when Felix was that small, so helpless.."

"Mother..."

"She's your wife I'm sure her family has told something along the lines of this, correct Rosaline?"

"Yes. Although I came in a little late.."

"Momma who's she again?"

"It's your other Grandma, Grandma Morgan."

"Oh. Tell her Merry Christmas from me and Adam."

"The twins say Merry Christmas."

As Morgan held each one her eyes lit with the eyes of a mother seeing the next generation in it's beginning. The eyes of a grandmother. Hal walked over and the scene was picturesque.

"I guess now it's time for some festive feasting."

"Indeed it seems that way."

"Go on open them.."

"Momma can you help me? I tried."

"Of course."

Felix's PoV

Rosaline assisted Linnea and I Adam in unraveling their gifts. Though they seemed more than entertained with the wrapping paper. Adam squealed with joy and waved his arms around.

"He seems to be enjoying the paper Mom."

"That he does. Though with the shimmer in it its probably quite attractive to the eye."

As the gifts went on Rose had put a magical touch to the gift we were giving my parents.

A snowflake appeared floating in the air and created a still flurry in the living room. The children giggled.

"Now that's a winter wonder..."

The day went on and we laughed and talked and ate, catching up on everything that's happened since we'd seen them last. The holiday season had been a positive one for which we were glad.
