Chapter 11~Memory

Rosaline's PoV

Blissful sleep occurred..in it were dreams of the past..

M~Memory&History

I don't remember much of anyone before I could talk and actually recall the environment around me.

I was nearly nineteen.  I could control a bow and any variety of blades, though I hadn't had a family to call my own I'd stayed with a few growing up. Through them I learned my skills, assisting in bringing home food for the household.

Today I was traveling along a dirt road, I'd been trekking through the woods to find a decent spot to camp. Life in the forest means light travel, the bear necessities, food that I can get a hold of (unless I conjure myself, I preferred natural resources), my weapons of choice, and the clothing on my body. I didn't tire too quickly of this life, you never know who you'll meet. Maybe one day I'll meet my parents..Don't kid with yourself Rosaline, you'll never meet them.

Belle's PoV

Rumple and I had been riding in his carriage when the horses stopped.

"What's it now?" He left the carriage, exiting I saw a young woman walking down the road. We're lost and Rumple doesn't want to admit it..an all powerful Dark One and we're lost..

"Excuse me, but do you know which forest we're in? My..uh..friend and I don't have any idea of where we may be."

"Of course, you're here in Wolfblood Forest." Wolfblood? Would Red be here?

"No wonder we're lost, I've never heard of there being a road through Wolfblood Forest."

"We're not lost Belle."

"Nice to meet you Belle." She curtsied. "And your name sir?"

"He's not one for-"

"Rumplestiltskin, dearie."

"Pleasure to meet the fabled Rumplestiltskin." She curtsied once more. "Now, if you go through this pathway, then there'll be a fork in the road. Depending on where you want to go that's the side you'll take. Left will take you to the Queen's Castle and right will circle you around the villages into the open fields."

"You know the land well?"

"I've lived in it my entire life. If I didn't I certainly would've been captured for nothing by now. The Queen isn't the greatest natured when it comes to "wild" people.  Though give me clothing like hers and I'll be twice the woman."

Rumple snickered.

"You know the Queen as well?" This woman knew the Queen?

"Quite well. Though I'm intrigued with your encounter with her. Come, hop inside and we'll take you along. You can be our guide in this strange world."

"Thank you sir."

Rumple's PoV

Night had fallen and as we set up camp for the night, magically of course, two glowing eyes peered from the treeline.

"Hey Red." What was this girl doing? "Come here..who hurt your neck?" This wolf walked to the girl, layed its head in her lap and stayed still. She's got a way with animals?

"You called her Red?" Belle's curiosity had gotten the better of her.

"She's an old friend. I've run into her a few times before." Her hand waved through the dog's fur. The blood disappeared in a red cloud. Magic?

"Red? Is that really you?" The wolf now licked Belle's face. I guess she knew the dog too?

Belle's PoV

After a night lying in the forest and our morning ride to where we'd met we parted ways with our guide, Rumple becoming uninterested with the plan he'd made. She was a sweet girl. Though I soon would forget her name and all we'd done. As would Rumplestiltskin.

Rosaline's PoV

They were nice. Seemed slightly familiar to me, couldn't be, we've only just met. Oh well, once I see a face I usually never see it again. Just the way my life works.

Rumple's PoV

At the Dark Castle.

"Why do you spin so much?"

"Watching the wheel spin. Helps me forget."

"Forget what?"

"I guessed it worked." She giggled. As I approached her grunts of  futile effort became audible. "What are you doing?"

"It's almsot spring. Ah! What do you do nail them down?"

"Yes." She shook her head.

"Whoa!" She fell, then landed in my arms. Awkwardly I set her down. "Thank you."

No. Don't look at her eyes..those...those beautiful blue eyes...Rumplestiltskin get your act together.

Belle's PoV

He's never looked at me that way before..

"Shall I put them back up?"

"No, leave it. I'll get used to it." His walk was awkward, as if he'd realized something he never knew he would.

As I slipped into darkness a voice came over me.

Your time will come. This new memory of her..will come back in time..but not now..so sleep my child...she'll return to you one day as well..

Rosaline's PoV

My trek ended me up in an inn. Go figures.

"Give us the girl."

"What business do you have with her?"

"Her relatives are very concerned about her whereabouts. She'd left in such a hurry that..." The voices lowered, I could no longer hear a word. Next thing I knew I was being carried out into a carriage. I don't have any living relatives..

Rumple's PoV

I sat there spinning the wheel, I'd sent Belle away into town, knowing that she'd never return, the castle now even lonelier.

Belle walked to where I sat, removing the straw from my fingers. She sat near me. I could sense a feeling I hadn't known from someone for a long time. Love?

Her neck craned, her lips met mine...I felt strange...I feel her love..

After the curse takes everyone to Storybrooke...

Rosaline's PoV

I'd...remembered? Those people...back in the woods...

Their love and their losses have formed the being you are..
