It took only a matter of minutes for this new squad to wipe out the remaining resistance, as the defenders continued to drop.
When the smoke cleared only a handful of defenders still remained standing amidst the sea of bodies. Amongst these defenders were 6 soldiers and 5 guards. The captain cracked his neck and looked around the room for Lorelai but could not find her. "Find the girls."
The cleanup took much longer then it took to overtake the castle itself. Unconscious citizens were taken to the ships awaiting them in the harbor.
"Did you find them?" Roman turned to find the man from the bordello behind them. His hand gripped the hilt of his blade until he recognized the man beneath the hood.
"No sir." His tone was laden with worry as he watched the bodies still being hauled away. "But they're here somewhere."
