The Demon Port

The cry of Land Ho! focused everyone on the realization that their journey was nearing it's close. One of the other girls lent Lorelai a dress and a pair of faded flats. Rosa gave Lethia a pair of flats as well and the ship pulled into port. The flags flying were of the four houses, making the ship look like it was trading cargo, not swindling it. Lorelai exchanged hugs with the crew, saving Jezella for last.

"Thank you, for everything, " she said as the woman hugged her back, fighting back tears as she did so. She briskly shook hands with the men and hugged Lethia gently.

"Be careful. The viper's nest is cozy for a viper, but one who has spent no time there may find it an unpleasant experience." With that the four of them stepped off the vessel and waved as it set sail again.

The group blended in with the crowd, happy to be on land again but sad as well. The twins were waiting by a carriage and alarm bells went off in both girls' heads.

"We have telepathy now love, we told them we were docking," Roman said as his lips brushed against her ear but never spoke a word aloud. Lorelai gripped Lethia's hand tighter as the boys lifted them into the carriage, just faces in the crowd of demons.

"Now come the hard part," Lorelai said looking at Lethia with a mischievous smile. They were headed to the castles, four giant ones that loomed in the distant horizon. Their true homes... where they had not been seen in over 10 years.

Whatever happened, they would face it together, as they had faced everything before and everything beyond that. They were a team and nothing... no one was going to come between them ever again.
