"What I'm about to tell you is not....easy. I would ask that remain calm as you try to process it."

Lethia nodded her affirmation, gripping the cup tightly. Lorelai nodded slowly.

"What would you say if I were to tell you....that you were truly Princesses whom we have been seeking."

"I would ask you if you had hit your head very hard and if we needed to call a physician, Your Grace," Lorelai said with a very straight face.

"I can assure you that I have not." The Queen smoked gently at Lorelai and the very confused looking Lethia. "Where to begin? You see beyond the Demon Gate in our homeland there are four ruling families. There are mine and my sisters, Darius's, and then two families whose daughters left for the human realm when their daughters were still young."

"Why did they leave?"

"They had had a disagreement with their families. You must understand that stubbornness like theirs has never been surpassed." The queen chuckled softly. "Their daughters were under the age of 10 though I don't recall their exact ages, as I was still very young myself. One of the princesses had a retainer that did return after the gate was sealed once more. He stated that the memories of the young girls' had been masked in order to protect them. Since that day the King of the West has been searching endlessly even sending his son to do act as his agent."

"Darius," Lorelai said softly and the Queen nodded. "So... we are the princesses? And we left home over a disagreement.... So why take us back?"

"Your mom's had a disagreement and took you away. You are free to make your own judgments." The queen stated gently as she sipped her tea.

"So wait... they ran away with us? What happened to them?"

"I do not know when questioned the retainer began to seize and passed shortly thereafter."

Lethia sat in silence processing all that she had just heard. It would explain why she felt at ease in their current surroundings and perhaps even why the mistreatment of others by people in power bothered her so much.

"How are you so certain that it is us that you are looking for?"

"Yes, there are many, many, demons our age...I'm sure who even look like us... How do you know?"

"The retainer was able to give a general area where he last saw their highnesses. Sir Roman was charged with checking your specific area. Of course, you would have to be a specific type of demon to even qualify for him to look at you. Other than that he would, of course, have to compare the smell of your blood with that of their Majesties. I trust him to have completed all of these things."

"Yeah...he definitely did that," Lorelai said softly and smiled to herself.

"Now for the sake of simplicity, it might be best to not even allow the boys to know we have spoken. Continue as you have and prepare for what lies ahead. If you need assistance with anything cousins I will do my best."

"Why cousin? Why not put them at ease that they don't have to keep trying to keep us in the dark?"

"The less spoken the less chance of being heard. Consider no one outside of your Guardians and myself an ally. There are those that would prefer the thrones have no heir. Always remember to be of royal blood is to live within a viper's nest."

Lethia thought quietly on the matter. The Queen had offered her assistance in all things.....did they dear approach the subject? She had always been one for a quiet life with no one watching her. However of she was destined to be watched should she not create a grand entry?
