Chapter 17

When the practice is already done, everyone started running near Nathan with giggling actions. Pen already left earlier just like she said and I was left alone here. Mom asked me through text if I'm safe. I replied back as soon as possible and said I'm still here in school, watching a practice in basketball. She replied to me to go home soon. I just smiled.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. Let's go." I heard Nathan's voice and I tilt my head up to look at him. He looks really tired because of the practice. 

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"I'm going to take you home, I'll just change. Wait for me here." He patted me gently on my head with a smile and left. I sat and I notice a bunch of girls who looks like high school students staring at me from a few distance in my peripheral vision, but I just ignored them. They started walking towards me.

"Are you Nathan's boyfriend?" I heard one of them asked. I raise my head up to look at her with wide eyes.

"N-no! I'm just his friend," I answer with a smile. 

"Really?? 'Cause many people said you are a couple though.." 

"Many people?" I ask.

"Yeah. You two are always together so we assume that you two are together. If you don't mind, what's your name??" The other girl ask.

"I'm Ria, nice to meet you all. What's your names, by the way?" 

"Danna."

"Julia."

"Emma!"

"Amelia, nice to meet you!"

They all answer with a smile.

"You really look beautiful and very lucky to have Nathan as a friend. Oh, I wish to have him as my friend too." Julia said with a pout. I just laugh since I have nothing to say and this is very awkward though. I'm literally having a panic attack inside me >.<

"Hehe.." I don't know what to say so I just answered with a shy smile.

"We'll get going, glad to meet you, Ria!" Danna waved goodbye with a smile along with them and I wave back too. When they already left, I sighed heavily. Phew, I think I should handle myself on how to communicate well with strangers like them because I'm really trying hard earlier to talk to them.
