I heard it.

The call for help.

I ran to my office and grabbed my gun.

As I run down to the only exam room that's closed, I fling open the door and find two men- one strangling Helen with a rope and the other ready to sexually assault her. As they realize I come in, the bigger guy steps towards me and I fire my gun- sending a bullet right into the right side of his chest. As the little one turns to escape, He gets out the door and I get a shot off into his lower back. He drops as well and I just see Marina drop to the bottom of the box. The security guards come in and I go into Helen. She's shaking so bad and has her eyes clenched so tight.

"Hey! Helen! Helen! Call 911!" I call out and Casey has come in and zip ties the big guy behind his back as he slowly bleeds out onto the floor. I pull the rope from Helen's neck and pull her close to my chest and sit on the floor with her- looking her over to make sure she's not hurt. "Baby! You okay? I got you! I got you!"

"She alright?" Casey asks as he presses on the asshole'a shoulder.

"Physically she seems fine. Mental- far from it." It takes the police and ambulance about 10 minutes to get to us. They take our statements and take the two guys away. Helen has expressed to them that those two were the men involved in her home invasion last spring. They swab them and take their DNA and head out. Sitting in my office on my couch, I hold Helen close to me. She's slowly coming down and isn't shaking as bad as she was. "Honey? Val wants to come in and do a check on you...okay? Make sure the baby's okay? And you."

"They were from the auction..."

"What?"

"That man! He was from the auction! The one I pulled up on stage. He did this..." She's hysterical now and all I can do is kiss her neck and rub my hands over her stomach.

"He's going to jail. Both of them. This isn't going to happen again. Alright? I'm not gonna let anyone hurt you."  A knock comes to the door and in walks Valarie. She seems concerned and brings in her ultrasound machine and jelly.

"Hi, Babe...I wanna check on you. Okay?" She nods, but she is still shaking. I have my back to the arm of the couch and Helen is between my legs, half laying down, half leaning against my chest. "Can I pull your dress up?"

She nods and is crying now. She's worried. If she wasn't worried before- she's really worried now.

"It's okay, Sweetie. It's alright." Jessup says calmly and Helen shakes her head and puts her arms over her eyes.

"It's...not.....not....o...kay." She whimpers through her tears. Her body convulsing to try and stop her own crying.

"I'm going to show you that your baby is perfectly fine. Baby boy or girl is doing great. Come on let me show you." She slowly puts the jelly on Helen's belly and moves the transducer around to smooth it across her stomach. She turns on the machine and slowly moves it around. "Okay- so here's your heart beat."

It's really fast right now. At least 100 some beats per minute.

"Little rabbit heart beats, Babe." Valarie says and smiles. Her voice is light and airy, trying to calm Helen down the best she can. It's not working very well. Helen is still shaking and crying like mad. "Oh Helen, we're alright. We're gonna have fun."

"I....I'm.....nnnn....not...hav...having fun..."

"Honey, it's okay. Take a deep breath." I say and kiss her ear. She can't. She's too scared right now. She's dead set on there being something wrong with the baby. I mean, I don't blame her- those men were rough and she's already been traumatized by them before. So I get it, but she is overwhelmed and making herself sick at this point.
