AN: Once you get to the part of the bear roaring, you can play the song I have linked for the fight scene to make it seem more "like Doom". Enjoy!

The Slayer and Aqua walk through the portal and arrive at the One-Shot Bear's habitat. From the looks of it, it was just an open field with plains of grass, sprinkles of flowers all around, and other wildlife.

"Attempting to locate the bear's signal. Please stand by," Vega stated.

"YOU ARE ACTUALLY GOING THROUGH WITH THIS," Aqua screamed. "WE SHOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE! YOU ARE GOING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED AND I'll NEVER.." she started to whimper through her words but still yell, "GO... BACK... HOME!"

Slayer looked down at her and looked straight back up as a sign of ignorance. Slayer kept on thinking to himself whether or not Aqua was truly a goddess or not. There is no way one would act so... USELESS and self-centered.

"The bear has been located," Vega chimed in. "Just head north and we would be right in front of it's cave."

The Slayer nodded and continued to ignore Aqua's obsessive whining.

"Don't you dare abandon me again, Slayer," Aqua exclaimed while chasing the Slayer down.

After about 20 minutes of walking, they reached a very large cave. It was made of stone and was about 20 ft tall and 15 ft wide. The hole made as the entrance had an odd, arch-like, rugged curve. The Slayer shrugged and began to walk in, but Aqua immediately tugged his shoulder backwards. He wondered what she wanted this time.

"We should wait for backup, ya know," Aqua implied. "We could always use the extra power and strength and... WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!"

The Slayer just ignored her advice and proceeded to move on ahead into the cave. Right after steeping foot inside, a loud roar echoed through the cave and beyond.

The Slayer took a step back as the bear form was shown. It was a brownish-black bear that was around 15ft tall, weighted about a ton, had scars around its body and face, and its eyes glowed bright red. It was a very definition of a menacing beast.

The Slayer immediately pulled out his plasma rifle and was prepared for a brawl, while Aqua was just pale ridden and stunned/scared by the monster they were about to fight.

Without any hesitation, the bear went for a slash attack towards Aqua since she was just a standing target. Slayer saw this and immediately grabbed her and ran off to a more open area to bait the bear to. Of course, the bear followed the adventures who invaded its territory.

"Slayer, I don't have to advise you with what to do here," Vega added.

Slayer set Aqua down behind a rock to where the bear couldn't see her. She was still conscious, but was unable to fight. Her face was pale-ridden and kept mumbling softly that, "We are going to die." He came from behind the rock and loaded his rifle as the bear was inevitably getting closer. He pulled the trigger and multiple blue plasma shots bursted out of the gun which directly hit the bear all over its body. The shots were just a diversion as the Slayer got up close to the bear and uppercutted it right in the jaw. This staggered the bear, which bought him enough time to get near the bear's claw, rip out a nail, and stab it right in its left eye.

The bear screamed in agony and pain as blood spued from the center of impact, which in turn was enough to snap Aqua out of her trance. She perked up from behind the rock and saw what the Slayer had done to the bear. She was mortified. "How much power does he actually have," she thought to herself.

The bear, now half-blinded, swung fury swipes towards the Slayer to which he dodged them all as one-shot would lead to instant death. He took advantage of this and unleashed a hellfire of shotgun shells into the bear's body to the point where it started oozing and pouring blood at intense rates.

The bear that was supposed to be formidable was weakened to the lowest rates anyone has ever seen. It was grunting in pain, torment, and any other horrid emotion a living being could endure. It fell to the ground so hard that it felt like a small earthquake.

The Slayer looked at him with his cold, heartless eyes as he pulled out his crucible and unsheathed its glowing red blade with an unknown language inscribed in it. He walked to the right of the beast, walked past his head, stood right in front of where his neck would be, and decapitated the bear in one quick slice.

Blood oozed and squirted out of its neck, but Slayer didn't care much about that. He has ripped so many demons in half to the point where it just feels like another day at the office. Then, he immediately walked towards the rock where he hid her. He saw her staring dead at him, yet he neglected this and walked like business is usual. When he approached her, she looked mortified and stunned at what happened to that beast. Slayer just gave a hefty thumbs-up to show that it was all good now.

She walked out from behind the rock and mumbled to herself, "I don't know if I should be proud or mortified... or what I should even feel at all."

"This may be a bad time Lady Aqua, but I'm opening a portal back to the guild," Vega said to kill the odd silence.

"Uh... okay... where are you going," Aqua asked Slayer.

Slayer walked back to the bear's corpse and picked up its head and proceeded to walk back to the entrance of the portal where Aqua was standing. He gently used his right hand to move her through the portal.

"I can walk by myself ya know," Aqua harshly stated while being pushed through the portal.

The portal shut, which ended the first battle the Slayer had seen in this world. And it wouldn't be the last.
