𝐎𝐅 clothes in her suitcase. the night prior, she had
cried herself to sleep, calming herself down by
telling herself everything would be okay.

vela had felt more pain than she'd want to admit.
although, she had always been a merely sensitive
child, the more she grew as a person her emotions
we're heightened by the actions that formed
around her.

the thought of having to work for someone
was intimidating. she never had to work a day
in her life, especially not for someone that she
didn't know.

she tried to convince herself that it wouldn't
be as bad as she was making it out to be. the daunting pressure in her head gave her head
aches, due to how hard she thought about it.

vela never thought about stuff like this, so she
wasn't prepared. it happened so suddenly almost
as if it creeped behind her and took over.

she knew about stuff like this though. she never
thought that she would be the one going through
it. she had to remember that she wasn't the only
one, her grandmother was also going through it
with her.

vela wondered if this would take a big toll on her
family, along with her. would it help? would it not
help? how did this even come out? so many
questions dinged in her mind, like a light
bulb.

vela sat down at the edge of the bed, fixated on
pictures and books that she would soon have to
leave behind. she observed the whole bedroom
saying goodbye to it in her mind.

it's not like she would have been gone forever,
but she would have been gone for a time that she
couldn't even imagine. vela promised herself that
she would stay strong, not only for her, but for
her grandmother.

vela made her way over to her mirror that was
positioned against the wall, beside the door to her
room. she looked at herself, sliding her hands down
the sides of the blue dress she had on, that exposed
her curves, perfectly.

she had decided to leave her hair down, the
auburn color of her hair reflecting off of the light
from the sun. her hair stopped midway down her
back, the natural straightness of it showing.

vela underestimated her own beauty. any other
girl that caught eyes with her could only wish that
they could be like that. vela on the other hand did
not like the way she looked, she thought she looked
child-like and immature.
