"Is she dead?"

"I'm don't think so. She's still breathing."

"It must have been quite a shock to see me I guess."

"Sam how do you know her anyway."

"We went to school together as kids."

I was silently listening to the people around me, it was a trick I used as a kid whenever I wanted to hear what the adults wouldn't let me hear. I let my eyes rest, and tried to remain as still as possible. I was trying to gather why i had ended up in a unknown bed with unknown people around me.

"Sam why did you ever go to a human school in the first place?"

"My dad said it was because he had to look after someone for a friend, but they had found out and forced us away."

"Aw, the little lovebirds looking after the lunch meat?" a snarky voice asked

"Ah shut up Jezabell. She isn't too bad."

"Raman, you know she would be a whole lot better off if she had died from the fall from the overworld. They'll eat her alive down here... literally."

I decided this conversation was going no where, so I sat up in the spring board bed with a soft creek.

"Ah hey again Noodles, how ya been?" I asked the tall boy sitting across from me

"Stop calling me that..." He mumbled

"Alex...." A soft voice said

A small blonde girl sat besides Raman, her blue eyes were filled with worry and her blonde brow was drawn together giving her a serious expression. Her hair fell in waves down to her waist, giving a great contrast to her lightly tanned skin

"Sam..."

"A-are you ok?" She asked, rushing over to my side

I rubbed the small bump on the back of my head, which was still throbbing.

"I'll live....But that doesn't explain why you are here Sam." I said

She sighed and rubbed her temples with her perfectly painted nails. She finally looked back at me with a pained expression

"Alex, I'm an angel." She sighed

I looked at her from head to toe and then panned back to her bright eyes.

"Are you really that vain now?" I asked

"Please stop with the jokes right now. It's against the rules to tell everyone what kind of Supernatural you are and I could get in a lot of trouble for telling you that." She sighed

"But I saw Noodles with wings earlier...how come he didn't get in trouble?" I asked

"Headmistress asked me to get you, and that was the fastest way I could." He replied

"The whole point of this academy is for us to learn how to blend in with mortal society, so the main rules here are to keep your monsters nature hidden. That's why all the students look human, however some traits kinda give us away." She said
