I blindly followed Jezabell through a maze of different corridors and hallways, to the new room we shared. To no avail, I tried to create a imaginary map so I wouldn't have to bother her later. However after what seemed like an eternity we arrived at a an arch way with the same strange writing as the willow tree, strewn atop its curve. After a moment's glance it was sorted out in my head and read...

"Wooded Land's: Girl's Dormitory..." I recited to myself

Jezabell turned to me with a small frown, and cocked her head to one side; causing her short auburn hair to fall to the side.

"You can read that?" She asked pointing to the sign

"Yeah...what's the Wooded Land's?" I asked

"Its where I'm from. The dorms are separated by lands as well as gender. This way people of fighting lands don't try to kill each other in their sleep...and so we don't have to sleep near the bog's kids." She explained

We traversed down the hallway, which grew slightly warmer as we continued. As we pasted, the doors of the rooms started to open and curious eyes peered at us from all around.

"JEZZY!" A voice squealed

My guide was suddenly trampled by a girl with long, pastel pink hair. She was smothering her and a massive hug which caused Jezabell to gasp for air.

"R-rosealin....A-air!"She wheezed

The girl named Rosealin release Jezabell from her death hug and kissed her smack on the lips.

"Get a room you too!" Someone called from down the hall

"Shut up before I string you up by your extensions!" Jezabell yelled back

"Alex, this is my girlfriend Rosealin. Rose this is my new roommate Alex." Jezabell said gesturing to both of us

Rosealin eyed me down before grabbing my hand in a death grip.

"Oh I head about you! Your the human girl that managed to get in here! So you're attend school here now huh? Cool!" She smiled

"So everyone has heard about me now huh? It's good to meet you too." I responded, trying to free my hand

"Oh and just so you know..." She said squeezing harder

"Sprites may be cute and cuddly but we are also very deadly...If you try and make a move on Jezzy I will show you just how terrifying we are." She growled

"I-I'm not.....Yeah you have nothing to worry about." I said, pulling away.

Her deadly stare turned back into a bright and friendly smile, and she pulled me into a rib crushing hug.

"Yay! Welcome to the dorms Alex!" Rosealin giggled

****The Next Morning****

"Alex, if you don't wake up now you'll miss breakfast!" Jezabell said ripping away the one blanket we found in the closet.

I was nearly bare, thankfully Rosealin had a extra night shirt that she gave to me. It hung loose on one shoulder and came down a little past my hips. We found my S.H.C in my empty desk which contained a digital map of the school and marked all my classes with little red dots. My uniform was the only thing in the wardrobe, along with a comb and toothbrush. Jezabeel said I had to spend "tokens" on showers, and we would be receiving ours in within the week.

"What time is it?" I asked rubbing the sleep from my eyes

"9:00am. Breakfast starts in half in hour, but it gets pretty crowded in the lunch room so I suggest you get there early." She explained

I nodded and opened my wardrobe once more, I pulled on the white blouse and black knee skirt. The blazer fit snuggly around my shoulders, and I combed my hair out of my face. The red tie stood out among the black and white uniform, and Jezabell had found her old messenger bag that I tightened around my shoulders.

"Thanks for all this stuff by the way." I said

"No problem, I'll see ya around. I have to attend a meeting for gardening club, so I can't eat with you today." She said, and slammed the door behind her

I glanced at myself in the mirror that Jezabell had hung on her wall. It was probably my imagination but I swear, I saw myself with white hair...

By the time I had made it to the cafeteria, almost everyone had gotten their food and were mingling around the open hall. I entered the breakfast line, and grabbed one of the black trays. The lunch lady had eyed me, but plopped what looked like pancakes on my plate and handed it to me.

"Thanks..." I mumbled

I left the line, and looked around the room for some where to sit. Due to the fact that everyone looked human I had no idea who wanted to eat me and who didn't even care I was there.

"Hey human girl! You can come sit with us angels!" A voice cried out

At the mention of my arrival, heads turned my way and the conversation died down. I kept my head down and scurried to the table aforementioned. The girls that were sitting there all looked upon me with bright smiled and perfect golden hair. Each one looked identical but different, and it was starting to give me the creeps.

"So, from what I heard your name is Alex right?" The girl across from me asked

"That's what I'm called. How about you?" I asked

"I am Cleoh, future queen of the Angel Lands." She smiled

"Angel Lands? Isn't that just heaven?" I questioned

All the girls started to giggle around me, and whispered in each other's ears

"Aw, she is so dimwitted it's adorable. But no, Heaven is just a place you people invented. Humans may have souls but they just rot away after they die." Cleoh explained

"Man, mom must be rolling in her grave right about now.." I mumbled to myself

"Soooo. What do you think of the underworld little Alex?" Another asked

"Not as bad as I thought. However there is the whole threat of people wanting to eat me..." I said

"True. We were wondering Alex, would you like to be a part of our club?" Cleoh asked

"And you do...?"

"We are the A.H.S, Angels of Higher Society. We think you would be a perfect member." She purred

"Uh, I thought we established the fact that I'm a human?"

"Oh..we think we have the perfect place for you in our club.." She smiled

That was the first time I noticed the room had gone silent, as if the building itself was holding it's breath. Everyone was either trying to look at us without being seen or staring directly at me like I had a target on my back. Either way, this offer seemed too good to be true.

"I'll pass." I said

The girls stared at me dumbfounded, as if that didn't think there was a way for me to say no. Cleoh stared daggers at me and slowly her smile turned into a sour scowl.

"No?...You are saying no to us?" She asked with roughness in her voice

"Well it wasn't a yes now was it princess?" I asked, rising from my chair.

We stared each other down for what seemed like forever, before she finally eased back into her clam and collected expression.

Step to the left when she picks up her hand...

A voice rang out in my head. Was someone talking to me?

"You need to tread lightly girl." She smiled

Or was it my own?
