Chapter XIV: Sorting Things Out
Warning: Mild LanguageHe hadn't meant to, it sorta just came out. He didn't even know what he was doing in the teachers lounge, until he stood there looking at the older man, those black eyes staring at him like they always did. He had been in the boys dormitory studying when he felt himself head towards the professor. It had all been a daze. They had both refused the bond, but somehow they couldn't stop thinking about each other. "I'm in love with you professor." There it was, out in the open and there was nothing he could do about it. All the professors at Hogwarts knew how he felt and he couldn't go back now. There were whispers and snickering, the other professor's watching on intently. The man he'd grown to love stood there eyes narrow and skin pale. "Get out."
"But sir." If it was even possible, the older man's eyes got so narrow they almost looked closed.
"Get. Out." He spat again "before I throw you out." Harry quickly walks out of the room tears falling down his face. Even if he doesn't like me, at least he knows. He said to himself.
Snape stood dumbfounded, he was still looking where Harry had been standing just moments ago. He knew Harry had liked him, but he never figured that the boy would grow to love him. But in all seriousness, he had grown to love Harry also. The only difference, was that he was able to keep it to himself. It had been a reflex when he told the boy to leave. It was always his line of defense when something happened and he was too embarrassed to say anything else and not to mention that Harry should have known better than to put his private life out there, especially in a school with over two thousand occupants.
Snape collected himself and walked out of the room in search of the brat. He was going to hang him by the ears and letch him. That's what his emotions were telling him, but his mind wanted to take the boy against the wall and have his way with him. It was something he couldn't deny anymore. He was utterly and completely in love with Harry.
He knew if they weren't carefully they would surely be found out by the rest of the Hogwarts student body.
His cloak swished violently behind him as he made his way towards the Gryffindor common room. He rolled his eyes as the Fat Friar began her attempt at singing. "I'm not going inside, I wish to speak with Miss Granger."
"Well, why didn't you say before I tried to embarrass myself?"
Severus rolled his eyes again, "you didn't give me the opportunity to speak. Now, may I please speak to Miss Granger?"
"Well alright, hold tight."
Several long minutes later the door to the Gryffindor common room opened and out stepped a bushy haired girl in dark red sleeping pajamas. Taken aback, Severus arched his brow and took a step back. It was no wonder that the girl was studious because she didn't have her looks going for her.
"P'fessor Snape?" She yawned not trying to hide the fact that her breath reaked of whatever she had eaten that day. "I think Harry's still asleep sir."
"I gathered that, seeing as it is six-thirty in the morning, but I have brought him something that I wish for you to give to him. Once he's read it, please have him meet me in the dungeons."
"Wouldn't it have been easier to send an owl sir?"
Snape narrowed his eyes unamused. "I will be sending an owl later this morning, but what I wish for him to read, I do not trust the owl to deliver."
Hermione nodded but takes the folded parchment paper out of Snape's hand. "I will make sure he gets it, sir."
Hermione doesn't get a chance to speak and in the haziness of it all, she watched her professor walk away, cloak and all.
