Cold breeze coming out from the air conditioner of Dunkin Donuts, sweet and luscious smell of baked-flavored flour greeted them after Natalie opened the glass door, it was 8:56 PM.  “NAT!” Andrea squealed behind the counter as she jumped excitedly at the sight of her brunette friend. Natalie rushed towards her Chinese best friend, “How was it? Are you alright?” Andrea grabbed her arms and her head inspecting if Natalie have bruises or scratches.

“I’m fine. Stop it.” Natalie said, chuckling as she pulled away her head from her friend’s hold.

“Oh, I’m sorry for worrying about you because you didn’t text or call like you promised.” Andrea muttered and she made her bitchy look – arms crossed against her chest, eyebrow was raised and shifted her weight on her right leg. “Don’t give me that look. I’m going to tell you everything later.” She said, making Andrea’s posture back to normal.

“So, you’re still with DJ Harry.” She teased, wiggling her eyebrows, Natalie playfully slapped Andrea’s shoulder, “You are with a mystery someone that made you go animal earlier this afternoon.” Natalie mock, raising an eyebrow at her friend making Andrea’s cheeks reddened, “Your usual?” she asked, Natalie laughed and nodded her head as a reply.

“Wait,” She turned her head, ready to call Harry but he’s already staring and standing a couple feet behind her, “Why are you standing there?” she asked, laughing lightly. He cleared his throat like covering his embarrassment. “What do you want to have?”

“Um, Choco Butternut and a hazelnut drink.”

After their battle of rock-paper-scissors about who will pay their orders – which cause Andrea to shake her head and rolled her eyes at them - and after long and hard decision of where will they sit; While Andrea is whispering something on Natalie’s ear, Harry experienced struggle about choosing between his spot or her spot but in the end, he placed their food on top of Natalie’s usual table.

“That’s why I don’t eat white donuts.” He said, pointing at the white powder on the rim of her lips, “I heard a racist statement came out of your mouth.” she said, sending a teasing smile as she pick up some napkins to wipe her lips, “Here, let me.” Pulling out his handkerchief from his black coat and wipe it himself; making her cheeks blushed. She mumbled her thanks and drank her iced-coffee. He took a bite of his doughnut.

“That’s why I don’t eat black donuts.” She fired, pointing at the particles that fell onto his lap from his food. He laughed making the food in his mouth fly out. Natalie covered her mouth with her hands muffling her laughs on them. Both their stomach aches because of laughing so hard, like they suck a big balloon of air and stuck inside their stomachs. They leaned back on their chairs and their hands were placed on top of their stomachs as they rest. Harry reached for his drink and drank it, when he looked at Natalie over the rim of his cup. She is already staring at him while she is biting her thumb, her lips were stretched upward which cause him to accidentally blew the brown content of his cup. They laughed again. He doesn’t know why he laughed, maybe the tingling and addictive feeling he felt since the day he ran with her.

She doesn’t know why she laughed, maybe because she already felt the connection towards him that’s been growing and desirable since the day they held hands.

“You two sucks.”

They snapped their eyes up to look at Andrea, her arms are crossed against her chest and she’s not in her working clothes anymore but instead she’s now in her red  shirt with Chinese characters on the center. “You guys had been laughing for 10 minutes. Are you two are on drugs?” She asked, eyeing the two skeptically.
