Harry and Natalie spent two weeks of a month, together a day. They grabbed breakfast together, they walk around the city together, they lie silently on the bed together just appreciating the presence of the other; the warm from the other, they eat their favorite donuts every night until Andrea’s shift is done and Harry will be late at Rave and receiving a slap on the back of his head from Mike. Harry and Natalie took them only two weeks to fall in love with each other. Took them two weeks to finally build courage to crash down fear.
Then under the stars, across the small apartment with red door where Harry and Natalie stood. They are looking to each other eyes a little bit too long; the curly haired one keeps opening and closing his mouth and the girl in front of him with long Sunkist – brown hair keeps her fingers over her mouth, softly giggling.
Harry cleared his throat into his fist and turned his head to look at Natalie, shit, that smile again, he thought. Her smile is brighter than the full moon that night and he is taking his breath away. “Harry,” she laughed as she shook Harry’s shoulder and breaking his thoughts, “you’re drooling.”
“Oh, shit.” He wipes the invisible saliva at the corner of his lips with his hand, and Natalie laughs louder, her back is bended slightly, head thrown back and her forearms are clutching her stomach while he is playfully glaring at her from the realization, “You little monkey!” He wrapped his arms around her small frame and lifted her, her feet off the ground. Natalie squealed as he twirls her while she’s in his arms.
He sets her feet on the ground again, rested his chin on her shoulder, wrapped his arms tighter and inhaling her tea scent hair. She likes iced – coffee but she smells like tea. “You smell like tea but you do not like tea, you like coffee. That doesn’t even make sense.”
“So, I do not make sense?” turning her head on the side to look at him, lifting his head to look down at her. “Yeah,”
“But your imperfections are the things I love about you the most.” He continued and turning her body to face him.
“Your smile is so large I can see it on Google maps,” she pinched her lips but the corners are turn upward as she looks up to him over her lashes,
“Your eyes are the only Christmas lights deserve to be seen all year long,” he says, running his thumb on her cheeks and staring at her bright apple – green eyes,
“If my alarm clock sounded like your voice, my snooze button would collect dust.” he sighs and cups her face,
“Natalie, I want to know more about you. You enchant me, you fascinate me. I want to know your ultimate favorite donut and your least favorite, I want to know how do like your iced – coffee would taste, I want to know why you have a butterfly tattoo at your back. I want to listen to you talk all day about the future and how it terrifies you, I want to argue with about who comes first when Almighty God created the world, I want to hear your insights whatever flashes to your mind and I want to watch you while you play cello.” Harry drew a breath and gulped because Natalie’s eyebrows are knit together.
Natalie was surprised by the words Harry rambles, she never thought she’s that interesting because she, herself doesn’t find her life that “interesting”.
She is just Natalie, who is studying Education for Kindergarden; who drinks iced – coffee at Dunkin Donuts; who plays a big hideous cello she loves; there is nothing fun with that but Harry…
“Why? I mean, why do you want to know me? I am not that interesting like you. Your life is so colorful and magical but why? I am just Nat – “ his large hand covers her mouth to stop her.
