Natalie rolled on her side, “Ow” she moaned in pain that shots on her bum. She sat up and the white blanket is wrapped around her body. The door of the room was opened slowly then Harry popped his head to look, he saw Natalie sitting on the floor and she was wrapped like a cocoon. “Help?” she mumbled and making him laughed lightly. Harry walked in his room, placed the tray on the table just near the door and approached Natalie. He loosened the white, soft wrapping. “Stop laughing at me.”
“Sorry,” he helped Natalie on her feet, a teasing smile never left face, “I made you breakfast.” He said, walking towards the small table again to retrieve the tray. She watched his back muscle moved as he walked in his white top; his shoulder muscle looks so big than when he’s in his leather jacket, she thought. And his arms were exposed which sprinkled with tattoos, he suits him.
She shook her head to remove her attention from his beautiful inked skin and she maybe looks creepy. This is not lady-like. Then her eyes fell on the six-stringed instrument leaning against the wall. “Why don’t you show me your guitar skills?” He looked over his shoulder. The light from outside streaming through his cream curtains lighting the whole room and Natalie is sitting on his messy, wrinkly bed wrapped around his thin white blanket looking so heavenly, especially with her sweet smile. She’s heavenly.
He walked towards Natalie again, tray in his right hand and the guitar in the other; he sat next to her and he started strumming of, “Isn’t she lovely” of Stevie Wonders.
“Yeah, they made fun of me because I play this hideous instrument,” Natalie said while staring at the ceiling while she is lying on the bed again. “They called me nerd for carrying a cello on my back, a loser for having and being in a music room every Friday but I loved my hideous instrument.”
Harry lies on his side, his arm bent and his head rests on his hand; he watched the different emotions and feelings formed on her face as she tells stories about her life. He could stay on his position just to listen to her talk all day, in fact, he wants to stay in his messy bed this whole day with her. “But I haven’t played for years, since I went to college though.” She turned his head at her side and looked at the mesmerizing guy next to her. His forest green eyes and her green apple eyes met; silence occupies the room and the burning wants blossom into the atmosphere. She looked back and forth at his eyes, then she asked herself, why with these irises I am captivated? I could stare at them all day. She couldn’t take her eyes from his.
He brought his gaze at her rosy lips and said, “I want to show you something.”
They jumped out of bed and Harry lead her down the basement, “Wow,” she gasped “are these all yours?” running his finger on the brown piano at the middle as she looked at him over her shoulder. “Yeah, I usually use them when I make songs and when I’m bored.” He shrugged, trailing behind Natalie as she looked at the instrument leaning against the wall. She stopped and admires the shiny cello; she thought about the forlorn instrument inside her closet. That hideous stringed instrument that was been ran by Natalie’s tears, played with her shaky and delicate fingers, the tone it created swirl with her sob and laughs. The hideous instrument that was been with her since she was in 3rd grade.
“Come on, let’s play.” She drew back her attention to him, Harry walked around the piano and sat; Natalie smiled. She grabbed the cello and sat next to Harry.
High and low notes blended so perfectly together, the smooth and beautifully played melody dance through the room. Harry is pressing the piano keys and Natalie is shifting her fingers from string-to-string.
