He left.

The students in the canteen were whispering while looking at me and Zed who just got out from the canteen.

Oh girl, you're so obvious that you're talking about me and that guy. I said to myself.

I looked at the sandwich and the string at my hand. I put the string at the pocket of my jeans and head my way towards him.

I really don't know why I'm doing this. I was rude back then. I shouldn't have talked to him that way.

"Zed!" I called.

He stopped walking midway and turned around. His eyes in shock, but he immediately smiled at me when I'm already in front of him.

"I'm sorry."

Ano ba, Keila?! Sorry ka nalang ng sorry sa kanya! Eh sa nagi-guilty talaga ako sa ginawa ko kanina. Para naman kasi akong maldita kanina. Ang bait pa naman ng tao sa akin tapos ganon lang yung ginawa ko sa kanya.

"Stop saying sorry, okay? We're both at fault here."

"Then-" I stopped talking when I saw Rylle and the others walking towards our way. Zed turned back and look what I was looking and when saw them, he immediately faced me.

"Seems like your friends are already here."

I didn't know what to say.

"Got to go. See you when I see you." he said and started running.

I smiled. At least, we both apologize. We knew our mistakes. He's not a bad guy.

"Oh! Anong nginingiti mo dyan?! Anong nangyari?!" tanong ni Rylle. She really is eager to know about what happened.

"We just talked. That's all." I replied.

"Anong that's all?! Nakita ko kanina-" ni hindi niya matapos ang sasabihin niya nang biglang takpan ni Erwin ang bibig ni Rylle gamit ang kanyang kamay.

Rylle kept shouting and we can't even understand it. Ervin faced Rylle and took pictures of them. Tin was laughing.This group of friends are really weird. Weird but cute.

And then I saw Keith beside me, silently looking at me. I looked at him too. What does he want?

"You were smiling when you were talking to him."

"Huh?"

What is he talking about?

"I know it's weird that I know this, but you rarely smile you know."

My mouth went half open. How...how did he noticed? Did he just noticed this? Or was he watching me? All the time?

He was scratching the back of his head and averted his gaze from me. He can't even look at me now.

What should I do? I don't know what to say to him! Should I just laugh? But I don't find this conversation laughable at all.

"I know it's weird. I really find this annoying. You were pissed at me the first time we met. But you were smiling at him even when the two of you just met each other."

"I was just being friendly to him."

"And you weren't to me?"

God, help me.

"Look. I'm sorry, okay?"

He stopped scratching the back of his head. He looked serious now.

"Stop apologizing over small things. You're too good that anyone can hurt you just by their words."
