Chapter 18

Third person POV-

"So we are thinking of gathering people from different places, you're pretty close with the fairy king, the queen of giant and...and.." Meliodas trailed off while snapping his fingers. It was just in the tip of his tongue.

Meliodas had just spent the past 2 hours explaining to Elizabeth what they talked about in the meeting.

"The king of Castellio? The beast mens representative?" Elizabeth gave a few options.

"Yes and yes, I like that Ban guy, he's got spunk"

Elizabeth laughed and groaned at the same time making Meliodas raise his eyebrow at her.

"Don't say "he's got spunk"! It makes you sound like an old man" Elizabeth laughed.

"For a human I am old! 641 years in fact!" Meliodas countered wit a laugh, being able to see the humor of the situation.

"The equivalent to someone in his twenties..." Elizabeth said with a look that obviously said "I win"

"Touché" Meliodas simply said and pouted a bit.

"Anyway back on trail!"

"Hm?" Meliodas hummed as a question and tilted his head to the side.

"What more did you talk about?"

"Oh that's it, we have another meeting this evening to discuss how we'll work it all out...of you feel up to it, I'd like you to be there" Meliodas said somewhat solemnly.

At first Elizabeth's face remained unchanged as it took a couple of seconds to register.
"Y-you want me..to be in a room filled with the most powerful and influential demons in this entire realm?" She asked, simply to make sure that was indeed what he was asking of her.

Meliodas hesitated to answer, not liking the way she had reacted.
"...yes?"

"Oh uhm...sure.."

"The decision is completely up to you elizabeth"

"I'm sure...I'm just...kind of nervous..I don't know anyone here...other than you and Lizanna that is.."

"I get it, I can introduce you to some people if you'd want?"

"Huh? Really? Like who?"

"Of course! Like..my brother! And my best friend!"

The thought made Elizabeth smoke softly.
"I'd love to meet them"

"Awesome! I'll get you something..different..to wear!" He said happily and was skews the heading for the door.
Elizabeth was wearing something similar to a hospital gown, but instead of a light blue or white it was black.

"Wait, you wanna do it right now?!"

"Of course, I'll see you in a few minutes!"

Elizabeth stares at the door Meliodas had just gone through for a while, but then she lost her composure and started laughing.

"This one? This one? This? This one? Or this one?" Meliodas said as he placed 5 outfits next to Elizabeth on her bed.

All the outfits were dresses that varied very in length, and for some reason they all had an open back.

"Where'd you get these from?" Elizabeth asked as she let her hand glide over the fabric of one of the dresses.

"I've got my ways..they're all yours" he says and Elizabeth's head whipped towards him in shock.
"After all you're gonna stay here a while, and I don't take it you'd like to wear the same thing each and every day"
