Third Persons POV-
The plans were already set in motion, but not nearly for everyone. No for most of the army they were just waiting. Waiting to get a message..a green light even?
Then Meliodas, who was sitting on a tall rock formation spotted their answer.
A small fairy that had acted as a scout. The scout flew as fast as he could. Barging into the main camp, he tried to catch his breath as he didn't want to act rash or rude as he delivered the report.
"The man you call Hendrickson has left the castle, and is making her way here! They know!" The scout freaked, the leaders however seemed to remain calm. Sure they had lost the surprise momentum, but that was not at all enough to loose the battle.
Very well. Thank you for your report. You may head back to your post."
"Very well. Thank you for your report. You may head back to your post." Harlequin said abs features for the fairy to take his leave.
"Yes my lord Harlequin...and those standing with him!"
The scout immediately left, leaving the leaders on their own.
Meliodas seemed to be more far off mentally than the others."Then you're coming... just as I expected" Meliodas mumbled to himself. "Then come, and let us put an end to this chaos"
Clenching his fists tightly, Meliodas readied himself for the battle to come. "Once and for all!""Wait! Just let me handle this..." Elizabeth Elizabeth called which made meliodas halt.
Meliodas felt urged to deny her. But he knew her worth and she And Hendrickson used to be friends. There was probably a few things she wished to say to him.
So in the end meliodas nodded at her and sat back down.
He looked towards the horizon, and then he saw the small silhouette."That's a lot more than just Hendrickson" Meliodas mumbled to himself. He didn't need to tell the others, they could see it themselves.
"If I get any signs that you need help I'll be there" Meliodas told his beloved Elizabeth.
She just nodded, and then she walked forward."Hendrickson!" She shouted at him, ave he mentioned for his troops to stop. Whatever the princess wanted to say he wanted to hear it.
"You used to be such a kind man. You were loved and respected by everyone around you. That's why my father chose you to become the gave master. So tell me. Why wasn't that enough?Hendrickson let out a small and dry laugh. "Do you stop practicing when others tell you you are doing good? No. You keep going till you feel like you can be proud of your accomplishments. You keep going until you're the best!! But even tho I was grass master I was never good enough! There was always someone better!! And realized there alerts will be. Such as led Bellion. So even if I can't be on top of it all, I can be in top of all humans!!!"
"You're sick...." Elizabeth whispers. It was sad that he with turn out like this. But there was no time for dwelling in the past.
Elizabeth started slowly walking forward, and as she did that Hendrickson did the same. But when guys troops moved to follow he mentioned for them not to. Was he truly so delusional as to think he could do it all alone?
Apparently so...Elizabeth started rubbing and generation did too... then they collided. Metal clashed as they both used their sword fiercely, both trying to eliminate the other.
Elizabeth hated it but she knew she had to do what had to be done.Meliodas found himself slowly standing up. As if he was getting ready to interfere, but then a gags was placed in his shoulder.
It was the king of Castellio.
"Do not tarnish her image by interfering when no need is" he says calmly, never taking his eyes off the battle himself. Then his eyes widened.
But why?
Meliodas whipped his head back around to see what was going on in the battlefield. Then guys own eyes widened as he saw what Elizabeth was doing. She had used the hilt of her sword and slammed it into the side of Hendrickson's head, knocking him out cold. He dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes, leaving his troops without a leader. But despite those odds they choose to attack. even without a leader, Hendrickson's soldiers rushed at her, but despite their numbers she didn't seem to affected when she was swarmed by them.
The Warriors themselves couldn't help but wonder if she knew they had drunk demons blood. They were strong. Too strong for some tea slurping princess to taste on!
They were wrong though.Meliodas only watches on along with the rest of their army.
Everyone was fascinated by her courage and strength, which Melissa's is course was too, but somehow he found himself falling for her even harder.
It was like back in old days. During the holy war...
She had the same look on her face as back then. One by one Elizabeth was able to take out the Knights. She got to arrive five... but but then the knights, filled with demon blood had stepped up their fake and was using the strength given to them through the demon blood.
Elizabeth said surrounded by knights, and then, one of knights walked out. He was big and looked sheer and dangerous.
"Do you still think you can win?! You will still move forward despite having no chance at victory?!" He screamed to her at the top of his lungs And for some strange reason, he suddenly started laughing. Perhaps he was crazy, or perhaps it was truly that funny, but he could not help but laugh."No...we will, because we know we'll win"
"Hey! I told you I could handle it on my own!" Elizabeth whined to her boyfriend, as if she was forgetting they were standing in the middle of the battlefield.
"And I told you that if I saw any signs that you needed help I would come and help you!" Meliodas backfired, apparently also forgetting that it was a dangerous battlefield.
"ARGHHHHH!" The big knight from just before charged at the chatting couple. "Quiet!" Meliodas demanded, without even looking up at him, as he landed a simple punch to the knights abdomen that had him flying and crashing into the ground. Hard.
Meliodas found the other knights reactions funny. They seemed shocked and scared. Even more so ran when Hendrickson, their actual leader, was knocked out of the battle. But it made sense. It was close to see the Hendrickson was very emotionally unstable.
And that's one thing his father was right in.
Emotions can be a hindering. But meliodas fixed it a bit and agreed that it could. But only in situations where it's about emotionally unstable people. The troops must've known that, as it would seem they never had much faith in Hendrickson.
They were terrified by the huge display of power and started to back off.Everyone just hoped that the rest of the next generation was as cowardly as well...but not Meliodas. He didn't want to bring morale down, so he chose to not state what was so obvious to him..
The guys were not next generations... they were just regular soldiers. Personally the ones who was too weak, and therefore seemed to not be able to handle the demon blood."Stay out of the way, and you wing get hurt" Meliodas told the cowering soldiers.
"They won't?~" Ban asked and tabbed Meliodas on the shoulder.
"No. They won't" Meliodas said to him, and glanced towards Elizabeth who had a grateful smile plastered onto her face.
"Now... let's head for the gates...and take liones back.."XxXxXxXxXxXxX
