Prologe

   April, 12th 2010

   Steve's Pov

     "Is this woman really worth ruining this family." My wife or now Ex wife Michelle asks. "I love this woman. Michelle our love has been lost for the past two years." "Because you decided to cheat on me!" She interrupts me. "You're not just leaving me but our daughter or did you forget about her when you were sleeping with that home wrecking slut." She yells in my face. "Kathy is not a slut and our marriage was over before i met her, she just showed me another way out. Do you think this is easy for me to leave my daughter behind cause its not." "Then don't leave we can forget this ever happened i still love you we can make this work just please stay." She begs me. "I can't. I don't love you anymore and Kathy is pregnant i'm not abandoning her. She needs me." "We need you too. Lexi needs her father. What am i suppose to tell her, that her father knocked up his assistant and ran off to marry her leaving his own daughter!" She says on the verge of tears. When Lexi walks into the living room.

      Alexis' Pov

Alexis was five years old, playing with her toys in her bedroom, when she hears her mom and dad fighting. I get up and walks into the living room to see big bags at the front door next to my parents. "Mommy are you okay?" I ask scared. Daddy says something to mommy and walks over to me and kneels down so we are close to height.  "Lexi i want you to know that daddy loves you with all his heart." He says with a sad smile. I tilt my head to the side looking up to him. "Are you leaving Daddy." I ask confused. He nods. "I'll be gone for awhile darling, okay. I want you to be a good girl okay." "Okay Daddy. I love you." I reach up to give him a hug and he hugs me back holding me tightly like he never wants to let go. "Okay darling go play with the toys in your room alright." I nod and run off to my room. Not knowing that was the last time i was gonna see him for a couple years.

    Steve Pov

I see my daughter run off to her bedroom i get up from the ground and walk to the front door, looking over to Michelle."I'll have my lawyer contact you with everything." She has tears running down her face she opens the door and looks me into the eyes. "Leave now." She says coldly. I nod. "I'm sorry it didn't work out Michelle." " You should say that to our daughter or should i just say my daughter since you're leaving her for another family." I walk out the door turning around to say something when she slams the door in my face. I sigh and turn walking towards my car driving off to see my fiance and her two kids.

   Present day

    March. 7th 2020

Hi, I'm Alexis but people i'm close to call me Lexi. I am 16 years old. I live with my mother since my dad left us when i was 5 years old. I found out a couple years ago that he left cause he got his mistress pregnant and fell in love with her and wanted to get married too bad he didn't take me with him. Don't get me wrong my mother was loving but after he left she started drinking and doing drugs which led to losing her job and us moving into one of the worst neighborhoods in our town. We live off of the money she gets from her inheritance from her mother and father. Anyway let's talk about something besides my crazy family situation. I have two best friends their names are Cory and Kevin. Yes they are boys, Kevin is my boyfriend and Cory is like a brother i never wanted. I have a female friend named Cammie she is dating Cory. They're 17and we're all sophomores at the local high school. I have shoulder length brown hair that pops out with my tan skin that i got from my mothers side and my green eyes from my dads side.
