Family Reunion

Irresponsible

      "Are you two stupid." We walk into the house and Willman follows us. I turn around to him. "We're sorry." "You should be, not telling anyone where you were. How can you be so irresponsible?" "I didn't think it mattered." "Didn't matter? Hes your father no matter what you want. Do you know how worried i was when he called me this morning telling me that you ran off last night and didn't come home? Do you?" He yells looking between me and Kevin. "I was with Kevin i was safe." I try to reason. "But your father doesn't know Kevin." Kevin looks down in shame. "I understand and I'm sorry for worrying you." "Don't apologize to me apologize to him." He says pointing at my father who has his arms crossed watching the scene. "Not happening." "Alexis Shae Anderson!" Willman yells. "I'm not apologizing to him." "NOW!" "FINE. I'M SORRY!"  I go upstairs and go to my room slamming my door shut and crying into my pillow.

Steve's POV

      After Alexis runs upstairs Willman turns his attention towards Kevin. "Where did you two go and What did you do?" He asked in a calming tone. "We went to the Hotel on 3rd street and i don't think you want to know what we were doing." He says with his head down and i grimaced the same reaction has Willman. "You're right I don't want to know but you did use protection correct." "Yes sir." "Okay. Go check up on Lexi. Make sure she doesn't do this again." "Yes sir." Kevin runs up the stairs and i hear the door shut. 

      "So the kids both listen to you." "Yep the perks of a cop is that they know not to piss me off." "I wish Alexis would be like that with me." "It took time. She was so use to her mother leaving she had to take care of herself." "Her mother left?" "Kinda she was into drugs and drinking. She would leave Lexi alone for a night or two and I didn't know her at the time. When i found out she sure gave me a hard time. You would not believe how many times she ran from Mae and I and was at Kevin or Cory's house." "Her mother did drugs?" "Lexi didn't tell you?" I shake my head no. "Well she was drinking and then got into drugs when Lexi was about 7. She got sober after Lexi's accident." "Lexi i mean Alexis accident made her get sober?" "No. Lexi yelled at Michelle when she got home from the hospital to see her mother high. She called the police and that was how we met." "Oh" "It'll take time she has a hard time forgetting and forgiving" "I know."       

Lexi's POV

      A little while later there is knocking at my bedroom door. "Go away!" "But, I don't want too." I hear Kevin i get up and open the door for him. He walks into the bedroom and i shut it. "So did he yell at you too." "Nope just asked where we went and what we did." "Please tell me you didn't tell him." I say nervously. "He told me not to tell him as soon as i say we went to a hotel." He says smirking. "You know that won't happen for awhile now right?" He walks over to me siting on my bed pulling me to standing infront of him. "I guess we just have to be quiet." He says as he kisses me roughly.

      After that scene. "We are going downstairs." He says grabbing my hand after i change. "I don't want too." I complain. "Too bad." He grabs me and throws me over his shoulder. We walk into the hall to see Adam leaving his room. He looks at us. "I don't want to know." He says turning around walking downstairs. As we reach the bottom of the stairs Kevin puts me down onto my feet. "I hate you." I whisper. "I love you too" He says with a hint of a smile. Willman sees me and waves me over to him and my father with Kathy. I walk over with my head down. "Yes sir." I say nicely scared to piss him off again. "You can look up but you need to apologize to them right now." I look over to my father and Kathy. "I'm sorry for running off and not telling you where i was. I'm sorry for worrying you." I look over to Willman and he nods. I walk off and a few minutes later we are all around the table for dinner except Curtis and Beth who were staying at their friends house. 

       "So Kevin I will follow you home." Willman says eating his salad. "Of course." "Can't he stay i thought he could stay for the rest of the weekend." I ask looking between my father and Willman "I don't think that would be best." Willman says sternly. I sit back in my chair holding Kevin's hand under the table. "So Lexi did you find a park to run at?"Willman asked. "I thought you said you don't run anymore" Kathy says looking at me. " I don't run competitively anymore. I run just to run now." I say sadly. "Well Adam and I  run on the weekends if you want to run with us tomorrow?" "I don't know." "She would love too." Willman answers for me mouthing 'Try'. I nod. "That would be nice if you don't mind." "Of course not." He say excitedly. I look down at my food moving it around the plate. After dinner we all move to the living room. 

      "Well I have to get this kid home." Willman says putting his arm around Kevin. "Can i at least say goodbye?" I ask him. He nods and i pull Kevin away and grab his neck making him lean down for me to kiss him. We kiss for a minute or so before Willman pulls him away by the back of his shirt. "Hey!" I say looking at Willman with a amusing face. "Bye babe" Kevin gives me a quick peck on the lips. "Bye Kev and Willman  be careful." I say pointing at him and he points back at me. "And you behave." "No promises." I smirk closing the door in his face.
