Family Reunion

First Day

      I wake up the next morning, looking around the new room. I get up and notice that its 6:30 so i get up and go to the bathroom to shower. I walk out and i see Adam. "Uh Sorry," I say nervous. "It's fine i guess Beth didn't tell you we three share a bathroom the younger ones share one and the adults have their own." He says. "Oh okay thanks." I walk past him and straight to my bedroom. I decide to change into denim shorts and a blue t-shirt with my black converse. After i change i head downstairs to find something to eat. When i enter i see my father about to head out. "Alexis. How was your first night? Did you sleep well?" He asked genuinely. "I slept fine thanks." I walk off. I enter the kitchen and grab a bowl of ceral and a glass of orange juice. Beth enters the kitchen and makes a waffle in the toaster. She sits next to me. "So, Your in 11th grade. We might have some classes together." She says excitedly. "Yeah, I keep to myself at school. Which reminds me i have to call someone." I say and get up.

      I walk out the door and dial Kevin. "Hey Lex How is everything?" "Well i missed you." "Awww i miss you too." He says in a mocking tone. "Your a dork." "But i'm your dork." "Yeah are you heading to school?" "Yep it's gonna be weird without you. Whos going to save me from Connie and Corys' relationship." He says dramatically. "You'll be fine. Honestly I'm a little scared for my first day." "Well you have nothing to be nervous or scared about. Just stay away from any guys who look at you." "Kevin are you jealous. "What No... Okay maybe. Can you blame me i finally got you to agree to be my girl friend i'm not giving you up." "Well i can tell you i don't want them i want you." "Damn Baby i want you too." He says fake groaning. "Eww, Your weird." "Yeah but you love me" He says laughing.

      We stay talking until i see Kathy waving for me to get in the car with them. "Well Kevin i have to go. Kathy is driving me to school with the other kids." "Okay call me at lunch." "You know my lunch time might be different." "Your point?" "My point is what if your in class?" i say walking over to the car. "Well i'll just get my phone and leave the classroom." I can tell hes smiling. "Whatever i have to go. Bye Love you." "Bye Love you too." I hang up. When i get in the very backseat with Beth,Curtis and Carrie are in the middle seat while Adam is in the passenger seat. Kathy looks at me in the mirror. "So who were you on the phone with just now?" She asked I wanted to say none of your business but i promised Willman i would behave. "Kevin my boyfriend." "OH Maybe you should invite him to dinner sometime this weekend." "Really, I could do that." I ask getting excited to be able to see him. "Of course i would just have to talk to your father and he might have to stay the night cause its a far drive." "Well he can stay in my room if he needs to stay the night." i state and Adam and Beth looked shocked by what i said. "Well i don't think he will stay in your room with you." "Why not hes slept over at my house before." She ingores me and continues driving.

      We drop off Curtis at the elementary school. Then we drive to the high school. Kathy parks and walks into the building. Beth and Adam walk off while i go to the office with Kathy. We sit in the office with the Vice principal. "Hello, Mrs.Anderson. Is this our new student?" He asks looking over at me. "Yes this is Alexis Anderson." "Right i have your file right here." He opens my file. "Wow you skipped a grade and a professional runner i see." I jump in "Not anymore i don't race anymore." "Alright well here is your locker number and your class schedule. If you need any help at all just come into the office." He gives me all my papers with a smile. I get up. "Thank you. I'm sure i'll be fine. See you later Kathy." I say walking to the office door and walking to my locker as i see Beth and a group of kids talking. "Hey, Alex come here." She waves me over so i walk over to the group. "whats up." "Whats your first class." I look at my paper seeing.

      "I have math first then history." "Perfect Connor and Rebekah have first period with you." She says pointing at two kids next to her. "Hi" I say nervously. "Well we better get to class." Rebekah says. "I'll see you at lunch Alex." Beth says and runs off leaving me alone with Connor and Rebekah. "Lets go" Connor says as they leave i follow them wishing i was back home with my best friends.

Kevins Pov

      I walk to my group of friends missing seeing Lexis smile. "Hey Kev. Miss Lexi yet?" "Shut up Cory. I've missed her since she left and she misses us too." I state saying hi to everyone. "I told her to call me when shes at lunch." "What if your in class?" Carrie asks. "Thats exactly what she asked. I told her i don't care." Carrie smiles looking at me with a knowing look. "What Carrie" i ask annoyed. "Nothing just thinking that you love her." "Yes i do. Your point." "Nothing" The bell rings. "Well off to class we go." Cory says like hes leading a charge. "Dumbass" I get smacked upside the head. "Only i can call him that." Cammie says.
