Going Back Part 2

Steve's POV

    Willman and Mae will be dropping off Alexis in an hour and I am beyond nervous worst then i was the first time. 'Of course you should be nervous you kicked her out' I think to myself and Kathy walks into my office. "Are you okay?" She asks me for like the thousandth time since she left. "Fine. Just nervous to see what happens." "Just don't overthink." Kathy says as she walks off to check on Carrie and Curtis. I walk into the living room and see Adam and Beth talking. "Hey dad." Beth says and Adam looks my way and ignores me. 'Great now my son hates me too yay' I think. "What are you guys doing?" I ask walking over to them. "Just getting ready for Lexi" Beth says. "Thats great. Do you need any help?" Beth looks over to Adam and he shrugs. "I guess." he says and I help them with whatever they need until we hear a knock at the door and Beth and Adam run to the front door. 

 Lexi's POV

   We pull into the driveway and I look at Willman and Mae. "Do I have to come back?" "Yes. Now lose the attitude." Willman says sternly I look over to Mae and she just shrugs. We knock on the door and a few seconds later I am pulled into a hug. "Lexi!!" Beth says as she hugs me followed by Adam. "Hey, Welcome back." He says with a smile. "Thanks." My smile doesn't seem real and they notice. "We got you your favorite snacks and drinks." They say as Beth pulls me into the house and I am face to face with the man who kicked me out over something that wasn't my fault. "Hey Lexi" He says nervously. "I think I'm just gonna hang in my room. Me and Kevin were up late last night." I say with a smirk on my face and Adam laughs and shakes his head. "Yeah go we'll hang out later." They say as I pass my father walking upstairs. 

    I enter the room I was had left not even a whole two days ago. I text Cory saying I made it and decide to face time Kevin. "Hey babe." He says smiling at the camera on his phone and I see taht he just finished working out. "Hey, I made it and already want to leave again." "I know babe. But you need to fix this relationship with your father." He says. "I'm tired of everyone saying that. He kicked me out and didn't even let me explain what had happened he only feels bad because everyone mad him." I say angrily. "Babe I kno-" "I'm tired, I'm gonna go to sleep." I say and hang up on him. I decide to take a quick shower and change into a tank top and shorts walking to my room to read. Until I hear a knock on the door. "Who is it?" I ask putting the book down. "Its Adam." I open the door and he walks in. 

   "Whats up?" I ask as I see him look around the empty walls that use to have pictures until yesterday. "I wanted to talk to you about yesterday." "Ok" We sit on my bed. "Where did you go?" He asked after a few minutes of silence. "A place that only my friend and I knew about." "But Kevin and Cory didn't know where you were." He says curiously. "A different friend but her brother Marcus found me and told me to go back to the guys. "I don't remember you telling us about another friend I thought it was just you, Kevin and Cory." "It is now. She died in an accident a couple years ago." I state sadly and he nods. "Oh." "Yeah, Is that all you wanted to talk about?" I ask him and he shakes his head. "No. Why didn't you tell us about your parents before?" I shrugged. "Its not my place. He didn't tell you guys and I thought he wanted to keep it that way." "Well hes an idiot to keep it from us." He says angrily. 

   "Probably. But I guess I can understand his reasons." I don't know why I'm defending him. "What reasons?" "I don't know, maybe he wanted to leave his past in his past and then I just showed up and he didn't have a choice." I shrug after speaking and Adam pulls me into a hug. "Well I'm glad and I know that Beth is glad that you just showed up. We love having you around." He says and I smile and hug him back. We pull away and he gets up and walks out of my room. 

Steve's POV

   She walks past me and I can feel the anger and disappointment reflecting off of her. She walks upstairs and I walk to my office trying to get out of my head, after a few minutes I decide to go talk to her and I begin walking to her room as I am about to knock I hear talking and recognize the other voice as Adam. 

    "Well hes an idiot to keep it from us." I hear Adam say and I'm upset he thinks of me that way.  "Probably. But I guess I can understand his reasons." Lexi tells him and I decide to keep listening. "What reasons?" Adam says. "I don't know, maybe he wanted to leave his past in his past and then I just showed up and he didn't have a choice." I feel terrible that she thinks that. 'Well you did tell her that her staying here was a bad idea.' My self conscience tells me. "Well I'm glad and I know that Beth is glad that you just showed up. We love having you around." Adam says and after a few seconds of not hearing anything I hear him walking towards the door and walk down the hall way as the door to her room opens.
