After Leo ran off, I went to my cabin to grab a hair tie. On my way, I passed the Big House and heard a strange voice coming from inside. The curiosity was eating me alive, so, I silently opened the door and saw Chiron and Rachel there but a green mist was surrounding Rachel. I stepped closer and heard a scratchy and ancient voice coming from Rachel.

A child of death and sea

Work as one in a quest to free

That shall save or end all earth's kind

Or loose the light that they'll never find

I backed up from the door as the mist disappeared and Rachel stumbled. What was that?  I didn't know the answer but I wanted to find out. I hadn't noticed I was about to trip down the stairs until Jason came up behind me and caught me.

"Are you alright?"

"Rachel.. Mist.." I stumbled on my words and Jason took me by my shoulders.

"What happened, Sky?"

"I'll tell you tonight with the rest. I need to think through some things"

"Okay. Let me walk you to your cabin. I think you need to take a breather." I nodded and let Jason walk me to my cabin where he gave me some water and left. He was a great guy, really.

I sat in my cabin completely alone, drinking water, shedding tears, screaming at nothingness, and telling people to get lost for two hours. I don't know why I was freaking out like this but after seeing what happened in the Big House, everything strange and crazy that's happened to me crashed down on me. With everything coming at me, I lost it. I had always been the one to take what was coming head on. I took the hurtful words and gestures (especially from Zach) only letting a few tears fall. Now, I had finally snapped and I was taking it hard. I stopped to take a drink of water after screaming again when there was a knock on the door.

"Sky? Are you okay?" I was about to yell curses and hexes at them when I registered the voice. Nico di Angelo.

"I-" my voice betrayed me and vanished in the wind.

"Can I come in?" I walked over to the door and opened it slowly. Nico was standing there leaning on his sword. When the door opened, he put his sword away and hesitantly walked in.

"What are you doing here?" I tried to ask but it was barely over a whisper.

"I heard you yelling and screaming. You didn't sound like you were okay and judging from the red eyes and tear streaked face, you aren't."

"You really know how to make a girl feel like a million bucks." I laughed humorlessly.

"Sorry. What happened?"

"Why do you care?" I regretted the words before they even left my mouth. The last time I said that, Zach and I had ended our friendship.

"I... I know what it's like to feel helpless." I tensed at his statement. I know he didn't mean to, but I was offended and I was already broken.

"So, first I'm weak and now I'm helpless? Did you just come here so you could kick me while I'm down! You don't know anything about life. Just go back to being a loner if you're going to hurt people!" Nico's eyes widened and I saw his concern turn to a cold, hard scowl and I knew I'd ruined any chance of a friendship with him.

"I can't believe I thought you were different. You deserve everything you've gotten and everything you'll get." I stepped back and watched him leave.
