Aubrey

Once Em made it home from her meeting, we showered, got dressed and headed out to the Kardashian-Jenner estate. Even though we were literally ten minutes down the street, we couldn't leave without Em giving her mom a run-down of how to care for Madison. As if she hadn't done it before. It was in her new motherly nature I guess.

As soon as Em agreed to come to the party with me, I hit up Maria to see if she'd be willing to babysit. Not only did she agree, but she didn't mind staying here for the evening to do so. We appreciated her so much. She definitely played a huge, supportive role in our journey as new parents.

My wife looked stunning as expected. Seriously, there wasn't a look that she couldn't pull off. Anytime she was by my side, whether it was on red carpets, sitting at award shows, or being photographed off guard- she always stood out and stole the show. She was a natural beauty that I was blessed to call mine.

She told me all about the meeting in the car. It was just us. No one trailing us. We don't get these moments a lot. Her smile and the way she spoke let me know that she was really excited about it. It felt good to know that each there were more and more people in the food industry who were taking notice of her talents. I loved seeing her happy.

When we arrived, the party was already in full swing. Per the Kardashian- Jenner style, everything from the decorations to the food was over the top. They had people at the door ready to take our coats and greet us with drinks and d'oeuvres.

Our presence drew attention as soon stepped into the main room where the music, dancing and mingling were taking place. Kris was the first to approach us with a smile and drink in hand.

"Heyyy there my favorite person in the world," she gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek, "Emilia, you look outstanding. I love the dress. So nice to see you."

I saw Em start to offer her hand for a handshake, but discreet throat clearing from me encouraged her to greet Kris with a hug instead.

"Nice to see you as well, you look great. I love the shoes," Em smiled, "you have it looking great in here."

"Oh, thank you darling. Would you like something to drink? A glass of champagne?"

"I can't. But thank you."

"Aubrey has you as the DD? You know he knows how to have a good time," she winked, jokingly nudging my shoulder.

"Um, no I'm breast feeding still."

"Oh that's right. How old is Madelyn now? Nine months is it?"

Em looked at her as if she had three heads. I tried to hold in my laugh, knowing that Kris clearly already had a few drinks in her system.

"It's Ma-di-son and she's 5 months old-"

"Kris, could she get a ginger ale with a couple lemon slices and extra ice please," I smoothly interjected.

"Of course," she motioned for one of the servers that were walking around.

"Be nice," I whispered to Em.

"Trust me. I'm trying," she said through a forced smile.

Once she had her drink, Kris excused herself to continue entertaining her other guest who were arriving. Em and I maneuvered around the room together and eventually ended up splitting apart. I had bumped into Kanye and shared a couple drinks. She had been whisked away by Kim and Khole, but looked like she was enjoying playing with their kids more than talking with them.

Ye and I talked about music and family. He wanted me to come out to Wyoming and work with him on some stuff for his album. I picked his brain about how he balanced going on tour and having a family. People give him a lot of flak for being outspoken and at times he doesn't help himself with his antics, but underneath all of that he was intelligent with a lot of wisdom to offer through his experiences.
