Captain my Captain

Maybe its not about guns

Natasha uses her Widow bites to take down one and unwraps her legs from his head . She then steals his weapon quickly getting the hang of it shooting the bad guys coming towards her.

I grab by staff spinning it in my hands taking down five at a time . One of them trys to take my favorite weapon from me  , I kick him in the stomache and the force knocks him off the bridge . Some more start firing at me and I do a handless cartwheel dodgeing it while grabbing my knife and throw it at my opponet striking him in the neck killing him instantly . I walk back to him and get my knife back .

"Wow our Ballerina's got moves" Stark says flying above me . I chuckle finally not annoyed at the Nickname now . "Is that my new code name ?" I ask . "Seems like it"

I fight my way back to Natasha to see her pointing the alien weapon at Steve but puting it down when she realizes it him. She pants and leans against the Taxi taking a quick break . "Captain , none of this is going to mean a damn thing if we dont close that portal" I remind him.

"Our biggest guns couldnt touch it" he says also out of breath.

"Well , maybe it's not about guns."

"If you want to get up there, you're going to need a ride "

"I got a ride " I said pressing a button on my bowstaff making it a bit shorted and put it in the holster on my back.

"Grey what are you doing ?" my red headed friend asks . I ignore this question

"I could use a boost , though"

Captian backs up a bit getting ready to use his shield to launch me in the air "Are you sure about this ?"

"Yea . It's gonna be fun" I says trying to convince my self more than him . I give Nat a quick salute and a smirk . I then run to him jumping on the car next to Steve then his shield. I manage to grab ahold of one of the flying crafts.

Climbing up I see that the floating craft has two participants. I swing myself on kicking one of the Chitari off . I grab my two daggers and shove them in the one whose flyings back while getting on his shoulders. Its hard to control the  thing but I quickly get the hang of it.

Another team of Chitari gets on my tail and I try to dodge it , Ironman quickly flys next to me blasting them off my back . Not long after Loki gets on my trail shooting at me . Oh you

I dodge him but its getting pretty hard and I dont want to break my focus flying the thing because I might lose control. I need help. "Hawkeye" I call through the comms

"Val what are you doing?" he asks me , seeing what I'm doing a few blocks away. 

"Uh , a little help?"

"I got him" 

The craft explodes behind me dropping Loki violently on Stark Tower . I jump off the craft summer salting onto the level above where Loki fell .  By the Tesseract. I shoot my head up watching the Hulk kick Loki into the building once again. 

Walking towards the Tesseract I pause when I hear Selvig speak . "The Scepter " he says , I rush to kneel beside my now unmind controlled friend. The wind was blowing my hair around so I try moving it out of the way but only smear the blood dripping from it  again and getting some in my hair. "Doctor" I say concerned. 

He quietly laughed at the sight of me . "Well , dont you look like shit" . 

"Long time no see huh Doc" I snark back

"Loki's scepter. The energy . The Tesseract can't fight , but you cant protect against yourself ." he starts

"Its not your fault you didnt know what you were doing "

" Well actually I think I did. I built in a safety to cut their power source."

" Loki's scepter "

"It may be able to close the portal . And Im looking right at it ". He turns his attention below him to where the scepter lays.

Using my telekinesis I bring the scepter to my hand. Dr. Selvig opens the laptop next to it and point to the Tesseract. "Right in the crown !" he shouts over the damage the city is recieving.

The scepter starts to penetrate the energy shield and I pushed it closer to the Tesseract. "I can close it ! Can anybody copy ?! I can shut the portal down!"

"Do It !" Steve shouts 

"No wait " Stark interjects . I pull the scepter away slightly 

"Stark , these things are still coming !"

"Ive got a nuke coming in. It's gonna blow in less than a minute... And I know just where to put it" 

"Stark you know thats a one way trip"

I watch Stark fly up into the portal with the nuke in his hands. He disapeared and all the Chitari fell dead, proving his success in getting rid of the nuke. As much as the man annoyed me I still loved him. "Come on Stark" I mumble not wanting to lose him too. 

We wait a few seconds but see the explosion coming closer throught the portal . "Close it" Captain spoke .
