I could tell you that after realizing what Roman had said and what Virgil had replied that they all finally understood. The other sides realized what Virgil meant and what he was going to do. They raced up to his room immediately apologizing for everything.

They all became actual friends and Vigil was final accepted. Patton and Logan got together and eventually so did Virgil and Roman. They lived out the rest of their days in peace, looking out for Thomas.

Thats the happily ever after you get in just about every story. If your looking for a happy ending then stop here, accept this as the end. Just know, this story doesn't end that way. Not every story is a fairy tale.

Virgil had shut the door to his room, tears spilling down his face. That was it, his last hope was gone in just a few words.

He made his way around his room remembering everything he had been through. He looked at the card Patton had made him. A small smile made its way onto his face as he remembered feeling like he was one of them. He saw all the blood stains on his floor reminding him of the pain he had been through.

Virgil got to his mirror, he set his phone down and put on a song.

Say something, I'm giving up on you
I'll be the one, if you want me to
Anywhere, I would've followed you
Say something, I'm giving up on you
And I am feeling so small
It was over my head
I know nothing at all

Virgil looked in the mirror reminiscing in all the memories, good and bad as they came flowing back.

And I will stumble and fall
I'm still learning to love
Just starting to crawl
Say something, I'm giving up on you
I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
Anywhere, I would've followed you
Say something, I'm giving up on you

He opened the top drawer of his vanity pulling out a revolver. It had a black handle and a silver bottle. It was fully loaded waiting to be used.

And I will swallow my pride
You're the one that I love
And I'm saying goodbye
Say something, I'm giving up on you
And I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
And anywhere, I would have followed you
Oh, oh, oh, oh say something, I'm giving up on you

Virgil grabbed a pocket knife that was laying by him, he carved into the handle of the revolver, V+R. He then put a heart around, satisfied with the change he had made, he found it rather suiting for the situation.

Virgil walked to the middle of the room, in one hand the revolver, in the other a picture that had been taken of all the sides together. In that picture you could see Virgil looking up at Roman with love in his eyes.

He put the bottle of the gun to his head. Virgil sang the last few lyrics,

Say something, I'm giving up on you

Bang!

The last lyrics played out, the only noise left in the dark room.

Say something
————————————————————————

Upon hearing the gunshot come from up stairs the other sides shot each other confused glances before slowly making their way up to Virgils room.

When Roman put his hand on the door knob him and the others were surprised to find the room unlocked.

Slowly Roman pushed open the door so it was the way open.

"Anxiety?" He called out. "It Roman, Patton and Logan. We thought we herd a gunshot. What were you doing." He called out again a little annoyed at Virgil for disturbing them while they were talking downstairs.

There was no reply back. Confused Roman looked back to the other two sides, they only shrugged in response. He decided to continue to venture into the room.

The sides studied the room as they entered. They never really went in there before. They were surprised to say the least.

There were blood stains everywhere. The floor was littered with different items for harm, there were glass shards, pocket knives, razor blades and so much more.

Then there eyes landed on a foot. It seemed to be in the middle of the room, but peeking out from behind the bed from their viewpoint. It obviously belonged to Virgil they could see the black jeans he always had on.

They made there way over. They all gasped in shock at what they saw. There was Virgil lying on the floor revolver in one hand and in picture in the other. Not only that but there was a bullet wound with blood flowing out, right in his his head. It was obvious, anxiety was dead.

Patton was feeling confused, he had acted nicely to anxiety, he was nice to him even though he didn't deserve it because of what he did. Why would Anxiety do this, he should have been grateful for the small kindness given to him because he honestly didn't deserve any. Patton was a happy though, now Thomas would be able to accomplish more.

Logan was annoyed. Honestly to him he thought of it as an act to make the others feel bad for him, even though he was the reason for all of Thomas's problems. At least now that glitch would be out of the picture and Thomas could finally live without having anxiety to hold him back.

Roman looked at the weapon. He saw on it the carving Virgil had made. Roman tried to feel something, anything over what happened. But he couldn't, Raman didn't feel the slightest bit of regret for what happened. In fact he was relieved, Thomas would finally be able to go after his dreams without anxiety there to stop him.

When a side dies they turn to dust and float away. The things in their room will disappear until eventually nothing is left. Then, the room will disappear and the other sides will forget that side every existed.

The sides watched as Virgil slowly turned to dust. Though the situation, in a way it was beautiful. The dust was violet with hints of black and it had a slight sparkle to it. It floated off as it slowly disappeared. Just like that he was gone.

"Alright we should probably leave now." Patton said. The others nodded as they all turned to leave. Right before Roman got out the door he turned back around. He walked back over to where Virgil was just laying and picked up the revolver. He held it in his hands before walking out the door with it.

It was much latter in the evening. Patton and Logan were already asleep. Roman crept his way out of his room walking down the hallway to Virgils old room. He opened the door to find the room completely bare. Any sign of someone ever being there had been erased.

Roman stepped into the room. Again he trued to feel some remorse knowing that he was the one that had caused anxiety to do what he did. But he didn't, he couldn't. He knew it would be respectful to feel bad for what he did but he didn't. That problem didn't deserve respect. He could see the room begin to fade away and he knew he had to leave.

Roman put the gun in the center of the room before walking out. He closed the door and faced it, watching as it faded away. All that was left was a small sliver of the door as Roman said the last thing to ever be spoken about Virgil. With a small smile on his face but voice filled with malice Roman said.
