Chapter 11- More Than Expected

Another month had passed and Izuku and Shoto were getting ready to go to a doctor's appointment. Little did Izuku know, Shoto had finally gotten his words together and he had a special surprise for him after the appointment.

"I really hope we get to find out Dumpling's gender," Izuku said as he put on his jean jacket over his light pink shirt. "It would be nice. How about afterward we walk around the park? There's something I've been wanting to talk about." Shoto said as he walked over and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend. "Of course love." Izuku was obviously a bit nervous but he decided to ignore that feeling for the time being. "Alright then!" Shoto smiled. "Are you two already to go?" Shoto asked as he let go of him and took ahold of his hand. "Yep!" Izuku returned the smile and took the lead, walking out of their room and over to the door. Shoto was hiding it pretty well, but deep down he really was super excited. Everything just seemed to be lining up in their lives and it seemed perfect. He knew it wouldn't be like this forever so he had to taken advantage of every good moment. Izuku led Shoto out to the car. Shoto opened the door for Izuku and then closed it once he got in. Shoto walked over to the driver's side as Izuku got buckled up. Shoto got in the car and got buckled up. He got the car started and pulled out of the parking lot. Izuku shifted a little. "We've been waiting for a moment like this for so long." Izuku giggled. "Yeah, everything is just kind of alining finally," Shoto told him.

After about twenty-five minutes of driving Izuku and Shoto arrived at the doctor's office. Since the place didn't have a lot of business currently a nurse went ahead and took them back, getting them situated in a room. Shoto took a seat in one of the chairs and the nurse got Izuku ready for the ultrasound. Izuku would go back and forth between glancing at the nurse and Shoto. Shoto noticed this and took ahold of his hand. "Everything is okay. I'm right here." Shoto reassured him. Izuku nodded and took a deep breath, relaxing. "Okay, before we get the actual ultrasound started, I'm going to just feel you're stomach and get a general idea of where the baby is." The nurse told him before putting her gloved her hands on his stomach. Izuku flinched at first but relaxed right after. "Seems like the baby is a good size as well." The nurse told him. Izuku smiled at her words. "Now, I'm going to put this gel on your stomach. It's going to be pretty cold at first, but it doesn't last long." The nurse told him before applying the gel to his stomach. Izuku gave Shoto's hand a small squeeze, but quickly let go. Shoto smiled and allowed Izuku to do what he needed. The nurse then took the ultrasound wand and pressed it down on his stomach. She moved it around slowly until the baby could clearly be shown on the monitor. "There's the baby. From right here this is more of a profile picture so you can see the small details of the baby's face." Izuku almost instantly teared up. It was one thing to be aware that there was a baby, but a whole other thing to finally clearly be able to see the baby. "Just to be sure, you guys do want to know the gender. Correct?" She asked. They both were quick to nod. "Okay, so if I move the wand down..we can see that you guys are going to be having a little boy." The nurse told them. Izuku's eyes lit up and he smiled excitedly. "A son..." Shoto said quietly to Izuku. "He's precious.." Izuku whispered back. Shoto held Izuku's hand and softly kissed the back of it. A small smile crept upon his face. Knowing the gender seemed to make things much more real for them.

After the appointment, Izuku sat in the car as happy tears ran down his cheeks. "This is crazy. We're going to have a son Shoto!" He exclaimed. "I know baby." Shoto held Izuku's hand tightly as he got the car started with his free hand. Izuku took a moment to collect himself. "Okay, I think I'm good now," Izuku told Shoto. "Good, love. We're off to the park, and then when we get home I'll make you something to eat. Whatever you're craving, I'll make." Shoto told him as he pulled out of the parking lot and onto the street. Izuku giggled. "Thanks, baby. Now...about what you wanted to talk about. Is it something bad? I'm really curious." Izuku asked. "It's nothing bad Izuku. At least it's not supposed to be bad." Shoto told him. "Oh, okay then. I trust you." Izuku smiled. After about thirty minutes of driving Shoto pulled into a parking spot st the park. He turn off the car and walked around to Izuku's side of the car. He opened the door and helped him out. Izuku smile and held onto his hand. Shoto kissed Izuku's forehead and then closed his boyfriend's door. "So I've been thinking a lot lately. I did most of this thinking before we found out about little Dumpling, but I can't stop thinking about it now." He said as he led Izuku to the gazebo where they had their first date. "Oh really babe? What have you been thinking about. Once they got to the gazebo Shoto stood infront of Ozuku. He held one of his hands as he moved the other to his pocket. He took a deep breath in. 'I've got this. I'm going to say it' Shoto could hear hear the whole speech he had planned in his head. "I've loved you since forever Izuku. I remember the first time I realize I had feelings for you. The first moment I realized I wanted to be with you. Not to mention the moment where I realized I wanted to be with you forever. I was in a bad situation before we met. Then you came into my life and showed me that happiness could still be real. You're such a ball of sunshine and honestly it's more than I could ever ask for or need. You've always been there for me and now I want to make the promise that will seal it all babe." Shoto finished his speech and let go of Izuku's hand. He took the box out and then got on one knee. He opened the box and looked up at Izuku. "Izuku Midoroya, will you do me the honor of being my forever?" Shoto asked. Izuku was already on the verge of tears from the speech alone. It took him a second to process what Shoto just asked him, but one he came back down to earth it hit him. "Oh my..." tears began to pour down Izuku's cheeks. He nodded as a large smile crept up on his face. Shoto returned the happy smile and slid the ring onto his finger before standing up and pulling him into a deep kiss. Izuku placed his hands on Shoto's cheeks as he kissed back. This was the last thing he had expected to happen. Shoto wrapped his arms around Izuku's waist and held him there tightly. They were their forevers and they both couldnt be happier to say that.
